I'm going to attempt to add some trim to a little coffee nook in the corner of my kitchen. Disclaimer: I have never used one of these miter boxes in my life. I remember seeing my dad use his and my husband use his. But I guess it's time to learn how to do simple things to enhance my home. I'm going to buy trim from town then make an attempt to cut it using the instructions provided in the box and also with some online help. From what I'm seeing this kit has everything I will need to make this happen. If things go really well, I will attempt to cut trim for the bottom of a dresser that has some "issues" that could be covered up with trim. Maybe I'll soon be able to "Master every cut with professional precision." And then again, maybe not. Just so things look passable and I can stain or paint these trim pieces. I'll be happy. Having never used this yet, unfortunately I cannot speak to its quality. Normally I would get busy and DO this, but at the current time, I'm just not able to do that. I can say that the cost of this set competes with others I have viewed. I've also seen some at lower price points with fewer saw blades, so there is that. Overall, I don't see why this will not be a good product for my needs. I'm giving it five stars for now. If I feel different after using it, I'll come back and do an update. The miter box is junk. It was warped and the saw didn't even fit in the grooves. It would not cut a 45 degree angle which is what I needed it for. I give 2 stars only because the saws were nice and sharp.

Konvixon 4PCS Miter Box and Saw Set, 3 Mitre Saws --- Nice miter box and a saw set here. Obvious to most, the miter box itself is pretty standard and actually quit comparable to most others but it's the saw that really stands out with extra features. The box is a sturdy enough plastic construction and as solid if not more so than any other I've had or seen. Plenty thick and sturdy enough not to twist or warp and wide enough to cut any standard 4x stock. It has the standard lip under the front edge to hook and stabilize on the front of a work surface and premade counter sink holes to mount it if you wanted. What I do, and also suggest, is to line the bottom of the box with a piece of hardwood to protect the plastic construction when making a through cut. It'll probably also mount it to a short length of 1x and then to a scrap piece of plywood leaving enough margin in front to clamp it down. Basically a small platform to make it easier to use and secure in place but small enough to put away somewhere. Now.. the saw. The saw is unlike most others because it comes with three different blades each having a different tooth count.. 10tpi, 14tpi and 17tpi (tpi - teeth per inch). This is an awesome addition that adds a ton of versitality with out buying extra saws. The courser 10tpi for faster more aggressive cutting in larger pieces of softer woods such as basic framing white wood materials . The 14tpi for medium density woods that compromises cut speed with somewhat cleaner cuts and then 17tpi for the hardest woods or metals also producing the cleanest finish. Also, with having the interchangable blades it allows some adjustability to the handles angle to the blade. That said, the many locking notches between blade and handle would lead you to think it could adjust to several angles. Actually there's just two possible, handle straight and parrelel to blade and then angled upward which is a bit more comfortable and natural to use if your standing above a work surface. Just two settings is fine, all that's really needed and still an option over the standard fixed blade. Also worth noting, the handle is grippy rubber and comfortable in the hand. I've included a pic of the handle set to both positions to give an idea of what to expect. It's a nice enough set and again a lot more versital with three blades and two handle positions. I mostly use a sliding compound miter saw but on smaller projects and more delicate trims the old school miter box is more practical and easier to be precise without tear out and chipped up edges. This also works better and easier for my wife as most of craft projects are out of smaller more delicate materials. 5-Stars
