I got this in today. On inspection it feels nice. The bendy flap needed a little bit of bending to make it easier to put into place to work correctly as the intended kickstand. This does stay well in place in portrait and landscape orientation. It offers ease of access to the side buttons and charge port. The flap is magnetic. I happened to not have a screen protector on my fire max 11 before hand. Before I put the screen protector on I tried the magnetic screen part of the cover ..now, it was pretty secure, I wouldn't say I had to pry it off, but I did have to use a little force opening it. It's not bad though. After I put a tempered glass screen protector on my screen it was still secure but it was a little less aggressive to pull off. For one, I wish this wasn't so expensive since it's really just your basic book style cover. The viewing angle is mostly as if you're only intending to watch something and there's not much flexibility in varying degrees of setting the tablet. If I were Amazon I would've opted for an adjustable kickstand flap backing like they used for the keyboard kit. Too bad you'd have to pay a lot more just to have that piece. A safer bet would've been if Amazon made a smart folio like apple made for their iPads. Amazon was halfway there with this cover, had they made the front part foldable and kept the magnetic backing or made it a tpu back it would've had a bit more versatility in viewing angles. Maybe it would be nice if they made a future fire 11 tablet with an integrated kickstand like the Microsoft surface hybrid laptop/tablet.. I'm plenty happy with this case as a simple stand and protection from scratches in a bag. Good for watching things and reading. I do wish they had made a smart folio variation or sold the kickstand back separately. I also wish it weren't so pricey. But it gets the job done.

I like it for what I want it to do. It is fast and reliable. Battery life is not the greatest but I don't use it far from access to an electrical outlet. Because it's Amazon, the device is always trying to sell me stuff. Keep in mind this is not an Android or Apple device and it does not work with the typical apps you use on Android or iOS.

Edit: Amazon did the right thing and let me return the cover. That being said, I wound up getting another of the same cover. Like I said, it feels like it just belongs with the tablet. I only hope this one doesn't wear as quickly. It really is a nice, light cover. Great tactile feel. My only gripe with its function is that it does not lay in a position to type on the virtual keyboard. Otherwise, the cover works well in every other configuration. It's a little pricey and my frugal side was hesitant about the purchase, but sometimes you need to splurge a little on yourself. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The cover looks great and feels like it belongs on the tablet. BUT I was highly disappointed to see it already coming apart, considering its price point. This has gotten extremely light use, as it sits on my desk mostly and I rarely move it around. Amazon could've done better considering how much they charge for this. And to add insult to injury, the return window has closed on it. Do yourself a favor and spend less money on something that will probably wind up holding up better.

Overall, a great tablet. Provides structure and some protection from the outside environment that most tablets face. It is quick and has a beautiful screen. Sometimes the charge goes down very rapidly most of the time not. I'd love to have a performance diagnosis support assistance type app. I'd also like a way to download an app from the play store with a built in function that would analyze and report this new apps compatibility with the Fire system.

The cover works very well as advertised. Fit and finish is great as usual. My main complaint is that the magnetic closure seals the front cover to the back one WAY too strongly when opened, you could almost crack walnuts with it. Trying to get the covers apart when done using the Kindle is very difficult.. The covers are the same dimensions so getting purchase to peel them away from each other is a workout. If the magnet was not so powerful, this wouldn't be an issue. It seems this could be a problem for the elderly or individuals with pain in their hands due to other reasons.

The Max 11 has enough memory for me so I don’t have to worry about that. The size of the screen is awesome and the clarity of the images is fantastic. I went all out, magnetic keyboard, the whole 9 yards. I’m thrilled I can read a book without having to turn the page every minute, the screen size is perfect. I was using my last Kindle for 20 years, now after taking the dive for the most I could afford I’m ready for another 20 years of enjoyment.
