Perfect for toddler. Easy to set up, and use, has the parent app to control content, and usage. Have an adult tablet, and another child tablet, and we like all 3 of them. Speed is excellant for a toddler. Plays movies from apps without any difficulty, no lag, and I have downloaded several movies to it. Great quality, and very durable for toddlers who throw things, or just drop them when they are done with them. I have not had a storage issue at this time. Screen quality, and picture is good. I bought a screen protector, and the case that comes with it is very durable. Not compatible with the google app store which is frustrating. Easy to download and read books.

My daughter loves this! She probably dropped it 50 times already and it still works! I dont love that you have to pay for Amazon kid stuff, well I guess I dont have to pay but she uses all the kid stuff so I guess I do lol. But definitely worth the money

You can’t beat the price, quality and Amazon warrant on a Kindle tablet. We have purchased several and when it’s time for an upgrade we will not consider any other brand. The graphics are as good as my iPad. Which I paid much more for. Durability is made for a child who is rough on electronics. Extremely user friendly and easy to set up a kids account so you can monitor content. My grandkids all use for games and take on road trips to keep them occupied. They charge fast and have a good battery life.

The tablet quality is top notch with a very nice screen. I love the durable case and the form factor. My son has a ton of fun playing the games/apps. Features wise it almost has everything from wifi connectivity to kids apps to being able to switch to a parent mode. It has enough storage to fulfill our kid's needs. My biggest issue with the tablet is the lack of Google functionality. I would love to be able to download the YouTube kids and normal YouTube apps. Recently, we went on a trip to Illinois and while everything else was perfect, the lack of being able to download YouTube videos was making the tablet less than perfect. However, if you don't need perfect YouTube functionality, there isn't a tablet that's better at this price point.

I bought this Fire HD 8 Kids tablet thinking it would keep my kid busy sometimes. What I didn’t expect was my 5-year-old swiping through apps smoother than I swipe through emails. This thing survives everything: dropped during dance parties, chewed by the dog (don’t ask), and once sent flying because I’m DONE!!! and it still works like new. The protective case should get an award for bravery. Battery life actually lasts more than a snack break. The content and parental controls are great, I feel like I set the rules, even though my kid now tells me what to watch. Five stars because it’s educational, entertaining, and somehow more durable than my coffee mug.

This is the second Kindle Fire we have purchased for our special needs daughter. I ordered the first one 2-3 years ago as a Christmas present. I honestly had doubts that she would use it, but they are on sale so I decided to give it a try. She has LOVED it...she really took to it and her fingers fly on it. The memory was running a bit low, so I saw they were discounted again so I ordered her a new one. The first one is pink (and I will add, it does still work, so she can actually use both). The new one is blue and a bit larger footprint size but still easy to handle, lightweight, very tough with the case, which is a great thing if you have small children or toddlers who might be a little rough on one. We don't have that issue, but it's nice to know it is so rugged in case our daughter drops it accidentally or something. Very nicely portable, and very educational. There are many kid-related apps available for download and some already installed. It has safety blocks on it to prevent a child from accessing inappropriate material or from downloading apps you don't want them to download. So basically it has the option for two users for parental controls. You can limit screen time, and monitor usage, even monitor remotely. It lasts about 8-10 hours (approximately) on a full charge and it charges quickly. A charger comes with it. 4GB RAM, 64 GB storage, up to 1 TB of expandable memory, 8-inch HD display, wifi-connectivity. You can also watch You-tube videos, download and read books and magazines, games, take and view photos. Very versatile, safe, and will provide hours of fun and learning for children.
