I was excited to find a pure cotton sweater, with partial organic cotton content. The fabric is yummy, warm and buttery soft and it feels fantastic on bare skin. The knit is great, tight and even all over, with great contrasting stitching for the hem, lapel and sleeve edges. The color is a great off-white, but I wish the buttons matched rather than the dark-wood look which contrasts sharply. Between the button shade and the styling I find this sweater a bit like your grand-dad’s - comfy, warm but not figure flattering at all. I got a medium which I know fits as designed, but I am toying with the idea of letting it shrink in the dryer or maybe even in a warm-water wash. The drop shoulders add to the oversized styling, but the sleeves aren’t overly long. This sweater is warm and soft, like your favorite blanket and I plan to keep it for wearing when it gets chilly in the house. I think the fabric is great quality and the garment will last for years. Enjoy it, just dont expect catcalls - it’s definitely more comfy than sexy.

I decided to get this for my wife to review. It is Amazon Essentials and I am pretty confident with there products. I ordered a large as it would be worn over other clothing and I could have even went with a small I think. The material is so soft and it includes a extra button. The stitching itself was solid with no strays or hangers. The color is perfect for fall with the holidays coming up. All in all it is a great piece but I would recommend ordering down a size just on my experience. This is a 4 out of 5 stars all the way. God Bless, Richard W.

Short human- 5'1", 130 pounds. I wear a women's small or medium, and can often pull off a kids XL or XXL. I looked at the size chart, decided to go for a medium. Amazon said most people that wear the same clothes as me pick medium, so I picked medium. Could have gone for a small and still had it be oversized. As a super short human, I did have to cuff the sleeves. ***I haven't washed it yet, so it may still shrink*** Right now, the fit is oversized and looks gigantic on me compared to the fit on the model- regardless of my lack of height. The only thing the sweater is missing, IMHO, is pockets. Who doesn't love a pocket? Color Midnight, really nice dark blue. I haven't washed it yet - I'll report back if there's any disappointing color loss. Since this is 100% cotton, I may risk putting it in the dryer to see how much it'll shrink down

I was not expecting this sweater to be as good quality as it is. I did not NEED it go be as good quality as it is, for the price. It is made from 100% cotton unlike most inexpensive clothing sold on Amazon which is only partial cotton, or ALL synthetic. In my opinion, this cardigan is as good as one I'd get at J. Crew or Banana Republic, for a fraction of the cost. Note, because it is natural fiber, it will need more care. But I expect with that care, it will last for a long time and be something that I enjoy wearing.

I love how heavy this sweater is. 100% cotton means 100% warm and cozy. It's not soft like acrylic but it's weighty, and that's perfect for cold winter weather. The fit is a little big on me, I usually wear a L and although it's a relaxed fit, it's a little "sloppy big" on me. But that's fine, because I plan to wash and dry it in the dryer, and cotton shrinks. I was counting on that. My only disappointment is the color. It says purple, but it's more like a cross between a pink and a purple. That almost-raspberry color that isn't quit dark enough. A darker color would have been nicer. But the sweater itself? 10 out of 10.

Current price as of the date of review: $34.20 Me: 5'4" tall, long torso/short legs, "busty," current size 14/16 I ordered this for the transition to fall planning on using it to layer. I think that I would have probably liked this if I had ordered down a size. This sweater has large ribbed cuffs that I have rolled up twice just so that they are not hanging over my hands. I am pretty disappointed in the fit of this. An argument can be made that I should have ordered down a size but a sweater should also not have sleeves that are SEVEN inches too long for an adult (I measured). I also think that the price is too high for an Amazon house brand basic cardigan. The best part is the buttons. They are cute.

This cardigan is the perfect wardrobe staple. It’s a good weight, made well, quality fabric, great for layering to add warmth. The fit is oversized, so I was able to size down. The yellow is YELLOW - exactly what you think of when you think of a yellow crayon. I don’t mind, but just make note it isn’t slightly leaning mustardy - it is a true primary yellow.
