These Amazon Essentials combat boots are amazing! I originally bought them for rainy days, and they’ve been perfect for keeping my feet dry thanks to the rubberized material and chunky outsole that gives great traction. I never write reviews on anything but I had to because I love these boots so much. My first time I wore them was to a concert. They were on my feet for multiple hours and the break in wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. They are nice when I’m outside and dealing with mud. They wash off so easy I’m in awe. I was running short on time and was able to completely clean these boots off in 2 minutes after being in inches of mud the day before. They are comfy, cute, and water proof. Love these for all the nasty weather. 110% get these if you’re debating!

I am very happy with the style, fabric and quality of the boots, especially for the good price I got them at. I like that the ankle part of the boot has lots of flexibility with lacing. I bought the black and brown boots in size 12 (wide). Overall I am satisfied with this purchase but the only thing I wasn’t happy about was the boots still have a very slender fit even though the product shows “wide width”. I am able to fit them but it’s very tight near the middle of my foot and toes and it can be very uncomfortable until they’re broken in more. The medication I take and the job I have can sometimes cause my feet to swell which is why I was aiming to order wide with and I even went a size up because I’m really am 11, but it was still snug. I’d say if you have chunkier feet or toes or deal with swelling, go 1-2 sizes bigger and choose the wide because I can’t imagine them fitting if I chose the standard width in my true size 11. But nonetheless they fit so I’m keeping them lol

I first ordered these in an 8.5 WIDE. They arrived 8.5 regular width. Tried them on. Even if they were the correct width, it seemed like I need to go up a half size anyway. Returned & ordered in 9 WIDE. Again, they arrived in a 9 regular width. Which makes me believe that wide width is actually NOT an option. They should correct the listing. They are much cuter in person but unfortunately will not work for me. Returned again for a refund.

Wearing these initially took a while to break in as I didn't wear then much until winter months set in. These were pretty heavy for a bit until I needed to wear them for dog baths and while walking dogs. The zipper held up pretty well and ankle support was minimal. Arche support is also minimal but I have low arches so it's not a bad feel. Durability wise, not that great for long term use. I work at an animal hospital where I walk about 3-6 miles a day. The rubber outside started to wear in November but the waterproof didn't officially fade away until December. The photo I have of them on this review is in February. I bought these in September. These make for an amazing fashion statement, however if you do wear these in a work setting that has you walking for long periods of time, animals possibly biting at your feet, or work with a lot of water, these aren't a good choice for long term use.

I was apprehensive about ordering these boots based on reviews, but decided to go for it when they were priced at $20. I ordered the boots a half size up based on Amazon's recommendation (and reviews I read) and I am SO glad I did. They are a perfect fit and quite comfortable. I have now tested them in rain and snow and a very cold icy week in New York City and I am so happy with them. They have great traction, even when walking over sheets of ice on sidewalks. With a good pair of socks, they keep my feet warm as well. 100% recommend. JUST REMEMBER TO ORDER A HALF SIZE UP!

So far so good; worn them several times and they've broken in nicely. Slight discomfort at the top of my foot, but that went away after 2 wears. Durability is TBD, but seem to be doing good so far.
