It’s like they made them backwards and there’s tons of extra space in the front like that’s where your butt should go, almost seem like maternity joggers. I may return them because they’re not attractive and if I’m not going to wear something out of the house I’m not keeping it.

I've been on a quest for the "best" sweatpants for a couple of years now. They used to be easy to find and you could rely on sweatpants being the right length and general fit while being plush and comfortable. In the last decade or so, I find most are missing the mark. It really shouldn't be so hard to find good sweatpants - I mean, we're talking about elastic waistbands with drawstrings intended to have a casual fit. Even old standby brands like Champion have revamped the tried and true styling into something that just doesn't work for me. I wanted to give some sizing notes since there seems to be a lot of disappointment about the fit of these Amazon Basics sweats. FWIW, I'm 5'3" and 118# and ordered these in a small and they fit pretty well but definitely could be better. First of all, they're a good length. Even though I'm relatively short, many sweatpants I've purchased in the past few years have been ridiculously short (looking at you, Gap). I didn't have a problem with these pulling up when I sit down and they're not too long when I'm standing up, so that's a plus. Even my current favorite sweatpants which are the Kirkland branded ones from Costco are cut a tad too short for my liking, so the Amazon Basics get a bonus point on the length. That said, I wouldn't want them to be even a millimeter longer than they are, but erring on the side of more than less length gives the sizing a bit more latitude. These fit me perfectly in the waist, even though I'm curvy with a ~30" waist, so the sizing is generous and doesn't really match up well with the sizing guide which lists a small fitting a 28-29" waist. These have an elastic waistband with a drawstring, so they're comfortable for me in spite of the measurement discrepancy. I also like that the drawstring is on the inside of the waistband so you don't see it. The legs on these are also very wide which isn't my favorite but isn't a deal-breaker either, but it does put them solidity in the casual category. If the legs were slimmer/less baggy, these would look more refined, but since I live out in the boondocks, I don't worry much about that. With the wide legs and the generous length, they might look a bit clownish on some. There are side pockets and back pockets on these, which is good or bad depending on your preference. Personally, I've never understood the point of back pockets on sweatpants. The fabric is good quality, but don't expect these to be thick and plush. They *are* soft, but comparatively thinner than my Kirkland sweats. Overall, these are good sweatpants if you can find the size that works for you. If you're a wide-legged giraffe, you will want these in every color! For everyone else, I recommend taking advantage of the "try before you buy" on these and ordering in a couple of sizes - your regular size and a smaller size to compare the fit.

I usually get medium, and these fit me well! They are relaxed so I expected a bigger front, but these are a bit bigger in the front than I prefer. If I don't fold the waistband then the crotch goes about midway down my thighs. I am 5'5" and about 145 lbs. I did end up removing the back tag since it was awkward when I folded the waistband. There IS a drawstring on the inside which I am very happy about. Pockets on the sides and back. These aren't considered "thin" in my book but they definitely aren't heavyweight. I find them to be pretty comfy, just know the elastic around the ankles will probably be uncomfortable if you're bigger, they leave imprints around them. I have only washed them a few times so far, but just a heads up you should definitely do as the tag says and wash/dry with like colors because the inside fuzz gets on everything else. It's nothing a lint roller can't fix though. BUT little plops of fuzz do come out when you put your legs through them. I got the green and it's the PERFECT green for me, I love it! I have found myself putting these on more than I initially thought I would, they are my go-to lounge pants!

I got these to wear around the house when I don't feel like getting an outfit together. I ordered a medium, because I like a little bit of room for an airy feel. I have to say, I was not disappointed. The material is soft against my skin, not a single instance of irritation like you'd get in cheaper material. The fabric doesn't catch lint either; saves me a ton on lint rollers. The elastic bands on the waist and ankles have held together very well, even after repeated washes. The pockets are actually functional and not just sewn in for show. Length wise; I've got no complaints; although, I'll say that these are definitely not "fitted" if that's what you desire. These sweats are traditional; "baggy-but-not-too-baggy". You could honestly hand these to a guy and they probably wouldn't know these are for women (See Picture); truly a functional and comfortable set of sweat pants. Getting another pair in Brown for the fall season!!!
