Description

The Extreme Max Vertical Surfboard / SUP Storage Rack provides a comfortable and easy to use storage rack for your favorite surfboards and paddleboards! The rack mounts anywhere you have wall space, such as inside your garage, storage shed, or patio. The rack arms extend out 19" from the mounting frame, providing plenty of length to safely hold even the widest boards. Each arm detaches in seconds with a push-pin release, freeing up space when it isn't holding your boards. Durable foam padding on each arm protects your boat from unwanted scratches and pressure dings. Each storage rack comes equipped with a foam floor pad that protects your board as well as the floor, and stops the board from slipping. Installation is easy, mounting directly into a wall stud or with the included drywall anchors.

This is an awesome vertical surfboard rack! I only own longboards, and this rack holds them just fine. I didn't want to drill more holes in my wall, so I bought some wood screws and lumber at Home Depot (2x3s, 2x4, and 3/4" plywood) and built a costom surfboard rack using the Extreme Max 3006.8477 Vertical Surfboard Rack. I am eventually going to move the surfboard rack to another location in the house, so that's another reason why I didn't want to install the original rack on the wall. The longboard in the picture is 9' 6" in length and 23 5/8" in width to give you an idea. Hope this helps. As an additional safety measure, I use a long bungee to help keep them in the rack. This does exactly what you’d hope for. Pad for the floor is thick and feels like it’s plenty suitable to protect your tail. Wall bracket is light but sturdy and feels well made.

This should be a 5 star product. The base is heavy and solid, maybe a little overkill. The arms click in perfectly. The floor pad is perfect. But the attachment holes on the base are not 16" centers like 99% of wall studs. Yes I could have drilled a new hole at 16". But, for what I paid it shouldn't be necessary. I got lucky because my location of choice has a fireblock that is exactly at the height where i needed to install this. So, I got one screw in a stud and the other 2 screws in the fireblock. If they shipped for the option of 16" centers, it'd would be perfect. ... show more

Easy to install. Boards fit nicely. The mat was a nice to have, thank you. Not sure why it took so long to get a decent one of these on Amazon. I'm not at all handy so I have no chance of making one of these myself. The snap on bars was a great idea too. Thanks!
