Love this skirt which, thankfully, shrunk 3+ inches
Size: XX-Large
Color: Burgundy
Hopefully and this value-priced Amazon Essentials skirt will be offered again in a full range of colors and sizes. I was able to order the only ones left in a burgundy red and a beige (apricot?) color. This skirt is flattering, even on larger women. It's design, fabric quality, and quality workmanship can make it a timeless staple in your closet. Paired with a silky top, like the one available on Amazon, and a jacket, this skirt is versatile enough to take you from office or church to evening wear. This skirt is true to size. I have 45" bust, 40"waist, and 50" hips. I ordered a XXXL. I am 5'2" tall and short-waisted. There's no zipper to deal with, instead there is a comfortable, thick elastic waistband. The skirt's fabric is a mid-weight ponte' (double) knit that molds to the body but is not clingy. It has a "kick" pleat at the back hem to allow for comfortable walking and sitting. The fabric is thick enough that it is not see-through and does not show ridges from under garment. Though this pencil (straight) skirt is pictured and described as "knee length" most online buyers know that knee length isn't the same for everyone. The skirt hem is turned up an inch and machine double stitched. After receiving this skirt, I anticipated hemming it up about 3 to 4 inches. For this review I measured the skirt length before and after machine laundering and drying on delicate. I was surprised to find the skirt had shrunk 3.5" to 22.5" in length. My photos were taken after shrinkage, which is about 1.5" too long on my frame. The photos of the beige skirt is shown paired with a color matched Grace Karin sweater for a polished, professional outfit.

Great skirt for work
Size: Small
Color: Navy
Amazon Essentials win again! This ponte pencil skirt is just what I needed to go back to work after having a baby. It’s high waisted and accommodates the current postpartum belly bulge. I ordered size small and ended up sticking with it instead of getting a medium to accommodate the postpartum bod. For reference, I’m 5’4” and 140 lbs. The blue one hides the curves well. The black one, which I also bought, hides the curves even better. While it is great for work, I could see myself wearing this elsewhere. It’s comfortable and attractive. The material is sturdy and washes well. For me, it was still slightly wrinkled after drying so I used a steamer on it. Overall a great skirt.

Nice dress skirt
Size: X-Large
Color: Black
Nice fit. Not as tight fitting as expected, which is a good thing! Nice work skirt. Material is good quality.

Good value for the money
Size: Large
Color: Navy
This skirt is a great quality. Not see through, there was stretch to the fabric. However, while it fit in the waist the hips area had a bubble on both sides because it was about an inch too big on each side. Because of this reason, I unfortunately had to return it.

Nice skirt, perfect length, but strange fit at the hips
Size: X-Small
Color: Navy
I’m 5’5”, about 115 lbs, and bought a size XS. I liked many things about this skirt: the navy color, the fit at the waist, and the length. However, the fit through the hips was odd on me. The material puckered unevenly and stuck out at the hips instead of lying smoothly, which made it look poorly tailored. It might work better for women with fuller hips, but on my body the cut just didn’t sit right. Disappointing, because otherwise it seemed like a very nice skirt. I was sad to return it.

Not a fan
Size: Large
Color: Black
I really don’t like these skirts at all. I decided to keep it since i had already returned a different one to size up, its not the size thats the issue the material is like a stretch sweater so it hugs the thighs but is very unflattering, the waist then is too loose. It does not have structure reflecting that its not a good quality pencil skirt. Maybe its good for lounging around but not for a professional use.

Cute pencil skirt
Size: Medium
Color: Beige
This skirt is simple but also flattering. It washed well and is comfortable. I appreciate that it isn’t too tight and isn’t too short. I bought it in two colors. Hopefully more colors will be added soon. I think this is a great value.

Great quality! But these ran large. I went down a size to a Med.
