I expected something lightweight and serviceable, but what I got was a noticeably heavier, thicker knit that actually feels warm when you put it on — not always a given with basics. Fit is generally flattering, though I’ll note that the middle can feel a little wide if it rides up. The good news is it pulls right back down and settles nicely, so it’s more of a minor quirk than a dealbreaker. The fabric is softer than I expected and feels comfortable against the skin. I haven’t washed it yet, but I already know this is a “lay flat to dry” situation, which feels reasonable given the weight and structure of the knit. I've been wanting a red sweater like this for a long time! I was pleasantly surprised it's 100% cotton. The fit is slim but it's not tight, it has quite a bit of stretch to it. It is mid-weight and it feels breathable which is refreshing for me because I run hot. It will keep you warm but not overly warm. If it's very cold it will probably be great with a long-sleeve layer under it. I'm 5'9", 135lbs. I usually wear a small to medium or 6 to 8 US in tops. This sweater is a Medium and plenty long. The sleeves are just right, I often have trouble with sleeves being too short as a tall girl. The bottom band of the sweater doesn't hug my hips like many tops that sit below the hips do. It also hides my "mommy tummy". FOR PEOPLE WITH SENSORY ISSUES: It's not scratchy but not super soft either. Having sensory issues, I can say that it's pretty comfortable. I only tried it on for a few minutes with a short sleeved tee on under. The texture on my arms bothered me a little but I will probably get used to it after a bit. If not, I can comfortably put a long sleeve layer under it since the sleeves aren't tight (but I do have skinny arms). We'll see how it does with wear and washing but so far I think it's fantastic! ... show more

These are good quality sweaters. The colors are accurate per the photo. I really love them and you can’t tell the difference in these sweaters versus a higher end brand. However, if you are seeking an over sized look, read the following to save yourself some time. I wear a M but I wanted an oversized look. So, I purchased a L, XL and XXL. The look I was going for worked best in the XL and XXL pre-wash. There was SIGNIFICANT stretching after the initial washing of them at 20 min on low in the dryer. I found the XL to fit like a L and The XXL fits like an XL. I love these sweaters and purchased in multiple colors but I wish the sizing after washing and drying was more accurate. I am hoping that these will work out long term because the price point and quality are pleasing. ... show more

I have been looking for this type of sweater for years ... and I mean more than a decade! COTTON (!!), soft, classic, midweight (heavy enough to look great after washing), relaxed fit, warm but NOT bulky. I go with X-Large so I can put a shirt underneath, but they’re NOT sloppy on their own. These sweaters are the quality I used to find at Talbot’s and Coldwater Creek. I finally gave up on wearing my winter sweaters because they were all too warm. I gave them away and replaced them with 'Amazon Essentials' sweaters. These launder well, but treat them with care. I go with a gentle cycle, cold, dried on 'extra low' for ONLY 10 minutes to get them started toward dry. Then dry flat, as recommended. This is quality merch, not something to throw in with jeans and other things with zippers!! I love the fact that I could find jewel tones as well as black. If you like pastels, they are here, too. I just received this sweater and I'm truly impressed by the quality and the thickness. Given the economical price, I feared it might be really thin, but it is not. It's perfect with a mock turtleneck and it's nice and warm. The color is a beautiful deep navy blue that works well with jeans. I'm sure this will quickly become my favorite pullover sweater. This is actually a really cute sweater, and it's cotton! I like natural fibers because I think it helps my body regulate its temperature better. It was true to size. I’m disappointed in this one and I had high hopes after reading reviews. I like a longer sleeve and these were on the short side to short for me and didn’t fit right under the arm. I will say they are a good quality and medium weight. The pattern is also cute and just as pictured. I find they stretch to much just from trying it on. They would be good for layering a longer sweater sleeve shirt under for colder days and a tank top for more mild weather. All in all a good sweater if you don’t like a longer sleeve and mind the stretch. If you’re looking for a form fit you don’t get it with this sweater, but will get a comfortable looser fit in the body from them.
