Finally. Plus size underwear that FITS properly. So comfortable, hygienic material and soft. I noticed some of the elastic falling apart about 6 months in but for the price I don’t even care- it happened to all my expensive pairs too. I like the cut and colors to choose from.

Love/ hate! These are very comfortable and fit well without bunching or movement. However I have had them just over a month with just a handful of wears on each pair, and half of them are fraying quite a bit on the waistband. It becomes difficult to avoid pulling on the frayed area while pulling them back up. I was hoping for a little more longevity.

I have been on a cotton bikini cut underwear quest since Gilligan & O’Malley stopped offering the cotton bikini I’ve grown so accustomed to for many years. For a while I found some Vanity Fair on Amazon that were comparable, but they are now scarce to find in stock, I’ve tried the packaged brands - fruit of the loom, Hanes, etc... and I find them to be weirdly baggy in odd places, too snug in others. I’ve tried a few other brands and most of them end up in the trash because they don’t fit well. Look, I’m a 49 year old mother and baking enthusiast who specializes in bagels and breads. You can read between the lines on that detail. In other words, I’m not looking for thongs or lacy panties. I want cotton underwear. Underwear that stay up, don’t bind, don’t cut off circulation in my legs or make me feel like they are too snug in the waist. I want underwear I can wear and not think about. Functional, not showy, but not full granny panties. So after receiving yet another shipment of disappointing and poorly cut underwear I decided to give these a try. First impression out of the package was that these seem close...very close, to what I was looking for. They looked a bit large, but I tried them on because, hey, I like baking....a lot so sizing up is generally the right call. The amount of coverage is more substantial that other brands I’ve tried. Mixed bag as they may actually come up a tad too high, just up over the bagel, chocolate, and bread storage area. In reality I could probably go down one size and that might remedy this. The leg holes have a mildly scratchy elastic I’m not so sure about. I put them all in the washer to see if they soften and shrink a bit. Overall my first thoughts on this product are that this is as close to the old G&O’M cotton bikinis as I have found, so therefore it is possible that Amazon Essentials just won. Proof will be in the full day’s wear and the washes that follow. Update: 5 stars. Amazon Essentials just won the underwear quest war! These underwear are perfect. I’ve worn them for several days and washed them a few times to determine comfort and durablility. They are great. Perfect cotton underwear for normal women who don’t want anything fancy, just comfort and proper fit, but not total granny panties either. I’m inclined to buy ten more now.
