These are the least expensive jeans I have purchased in years. They represent an excellent value for the money. I am wearing them right now. I'm very short -- 5'2", with an inseam somewhere around 26 inches. Generally, this means having jeans tailored, or buying them from the fairly small family of online retailers specializing in short sizes. This isn't the end of the world, but can get pricey ... especially for something as utilitarian as jeans. Amazon's 27-inch inseam isn't perfect, but close enough -- and 3 inches closer than most brands unaltered. The jeans seem to be solidly built and true to size. (Straight fit is not at all tight on my fairly muscular thighs). They claim to have some stretch, but I really don't feel it, and it certainly doesn't affect the look or feel of the cloth.

Amazon really needs to get its act together with the descriptions of these jeans. I'm getting on in age, and I prefer a little more room in my jeans. The "athletic-fit" jeans say "Extra room in the hip and thigh", so that's what I got. They were a proper fit in the waist and length, but a tad snugger than I'd prefer in the thighs. I ordered a pair of these Straight-fit jeans and these have the added room that I want. Hardly "baggy", but comfortable. Both cuts of the Amazon jeans that I purchased were a little on the large size in the waist. Once I knew this, I simply ordered one sized down and they're perfect. I think that for the price, they're a good deal. They only have five belt loops rather than seven, and somewhere I heard that this was a sign of "cheap" pants. But I don't see what I'm losing. If nothing else, I can get my belt on faster. They're fairly soft and look good. I find myself buying more and more of the Amazon Essentials clothing and liking it better than the brand name stuff.

I was looking for a pair jeans in the correct size. They are hard to find. Amazon sells own brand and had the right size I was looking for. And the price was lower than I expected. The only minor difference I noticed in the bathroom as being a male. Length of zipper is 6 inches. My old jeans zipper is 7 inches.

I have several pairs of these. I've reordered twice and each time I get something different. The sizes and washes are listed the same ways, but the fit isn't quite right. Each time a pair arrives they're slightly different in either color, thickness, or wear. Quality is good.

Listen up, ladies (and gents)...if you're looking for a pair of jeans to fit older guys, search no further! My DH is 82 years young and in great physical shape. But, I've ordered and returned at least 15 pairs of jeans of different brands, style, fit (i.e., athletic, relaxed, etc) and NONE fit his body. Generally speaking, they were all too baggy in the backside. But these...fit as they should: snug but not tight, in waist, thigh and back. The denim is a nice weight, not "fashion" type and the little bit of stretch helps mold it to the body. At last! Thank you, Amazon

Everything about these are great. The feel, color, price, everything. But they run large. On me, with Levi 501 regular non-stretch jeans, I need a 38" waist. Even then the 38" Levis are tight. I ordered a 38" pair of these, and they were way too loose. I tried washing them to see if they shrink, but I don't think they changed size, still too loose. So I ordered a 36" waist pair of these, and they are very comfortable and fit in the way I like them to fit. I suggest go one size down. Mostly because they are very stretchy. I will be ordering more, now that I know the size.
