The shirt fit great for the first two or three washes. It looks pretty decent too but the polo progressively got tighter and shrunk as the wash cycles happened. The material and comfort reflect the price point of the shirt. I paid about $15 for it and that isn't bad at all for a decent polo shirt. However, for me, since the shirt shrinks after a wash, it was basically $5/wear. That's not particularly worth it, so my advice would be to size up. I would've preferred it to have a little bit more stretch and be made of a slightly more athletic material, but as mentioned, for the price, it's not bad. The good thing is I can just hand-me down to my brother in law who is a slightly smaller than me so it should fit him good. Would buy again if I needed a disposable polo at a cheap price. ... show more

I picked up this Amazon Essentials Slim-Fit Polo, and it’s been a pleasant surprise. The tipped collar and cuffs add just enough style to make it feel more polished than your average polo. The cotton pique fabric is soft with a nice weight—no see-through worries, even in white. It has just the right amount of stretch for all-day comfort. The quality is solid, with sturdy neck tape and clean seams, similar to what you'd find in pricier options. It’s held up well after a few washes, keeping its shape without shrinking. I think it might eventually pill, but hang drying should help extend its life. Overall, it’s a versatile piece you can wear confidently to the office or out with friends—great for most occasions that don’t call for formal attire. The sizing doesn't make much sense. I'm ~6' 200lbs with a 44" chest. The large slim fit is sized like an athletic fit, running short. I get about 2 inches of fabric running down past my waist line, so it looks good and fitted for casual situations. The problem is this is not enough for functional use, so if you're in the trades, in an office, or a parent, you're going to give everyone a view of your belly whenever stretching your arms or reaching. Given the sizing, this will be problematic for people who are actually looking for a slim fit as it'll be a bit loose. Ditto with moderately built folks who need a bit more play with the length of their shirts. Besides that, it's been ok being thrown in the wash. It doesn't wrinkle much, but the collar has issues holding its shape and requires ironing once in a while. For value, I paid about $14 for this polo during a deal sale, so can't really complain since it's about the same price for the cheap polos at chain stores. ... show more

Definitely order one size lower than usual. I’m usually XL but their XL was gigantic. I requested a replacement for a size L and it actually fit PERFECT. Btw I’m 5’7” and find the length of this shirt ideal. Not too long like others.
