I hate shopping for clothes and do it MAYBE once every five years. I wasn't expecting much here. I chose this brand because, unlike too many other sweaters out there, this is 100% cotton. So I can wash it however I want without thinking of the effects on synthetic fibers. I was very pleasantly surprised to feel how soft this cotton is. I don't use wool at all but remember how light it is. This cotton sweater has a wool-like feel because it's so airy and light while still trapping warm air close to the body. I'd bought THREE other sweaters at local stores first and returned all of them because they just didn't look "nice" enough for a business-casual environment. But this Amazon sweater pairs nicely with a button-down shirt and blazer. And it keeps the cold at bay. I don't know how well this washes or how durable it is. My hope is a 100% cotton sweater will last a long time with careful washing. If this doesn't live up to that hope, I'll change my review. But for now, I'm very happy with this sweater. I am a woman and bought six of these. I like my clothes oversized and comfortable. I got the xxl. These are very roomy. The sweater is thinner than I thought it would be. But warm enough for a slightly cold day. They are soft….Cover the butt which is important. I don’t like short tops. The sleeves are very long, so great if you are taller. Id say the xxl would be a fitted look if youre a big burely type guy. If you normally wear an xl or l then get that size for a standard fit. Size up for a baggier look. They washed up well. Didn’t shrink in size but they did in length. However this was remedied by carefully stretching it back into its original length. I fold over once in a virticle manner and pull down from the bottom seam so I dont leave finger indentations. Washed on delicate with cold water on medium heat for the dryer. Black is a true black. Navy is different from black which is noticeable. Dark charcoal grey is on the lighter side of this shade but still nice. For this price, they are worth it. Hope this helps ... show more

This is a beautiful, well made sweater that looks great on my husband. The design makes this look dressy for special occasions which is what we were looking for. We ordered 2 different colors and both sweaters wash up beautifully. I turned them inside out and washed them on a delicate, cold water cycle. I really wanted a slightly oversized, cotton sweater that was not fitted (women's usually are) and this is perfect! Just thick enough to be cozy without feeling bulky, will definitely be buying a couple more. Good value for the price too. For reference I'm 5'1" and 135lb and I ordered a medium.
