  • Excellent and will get Better with time.
Size: 55-inch Color: Pale Gold
As soon as the press release came out for this product, I knew it was going to be great. Got it last week and it hasn't disappointed. 1. First off, the packaging was amazing. So many thoughts and attention to small detail. 2. The attention and detail put into making the mounting process simple really stands out, including the wall mount being included. But not just the mount, the thick cardboard mounting template that made positioning all mounting holes so simple and easy. Note, a table mount is not included. 3. The engineering of the wall mount - very cleaver and minimalist. One of the best I have seen. 4. Picture quality if great even though it has a mate finish. 5. New Fire OS is much better, although I still thing the google tv interface is the gold standard. 6. The frame! So much better quality than expected. Not plastic, it's like die cast metal - very study and aesthetically pleasing. And they packaged the frame to ensure absolutely no dame happened in shipping. Exceptional. 7. The setup was super simple - especially if you are already on the Echo/ Alexa ecosystem. 8. The software is not at its final iteration and has some buggy glitches not worth detailing. But I am sure that they will get worked out quickly with updates. 9. The art library. Very nice and the AI feature to match room aesthetic is nice. I just wish you could search directly by artist or title i.e. "The Night Watch" or Van Gogh - but I am sure that will come with time. So is there anything I don't like.... Again, the software is ok and not at its final iteration, but that is expected - I bought this thing the day it came out. And again, I wish there was better search for particular art pieces - I replaced a rather well known art piece with this tv and would have liked to have been able to replicated it on the tv but the search function has not yet allowed me to be able to do so. If you are considering this and it meets your budget, just buy it. It exceeded my expectations. ... show more

  • Do not buy
I’m a Samsung frame owner. I’m also a rebel without a cause. So when I saw Amazon had a frame tv for $200 less than the Samsung AND had 3 star reviews it was like a moth to a flame to “prove them wrong”. Nope. This is a complete piece of garbage tv. The sound is like a speaker from 5Below. The mounting is atrocious. Ambient mode? None. It’s just a $200 tv that you can clip a frame on. Actually I’d prefer a $200 Chinese tv from the grocery store. Wow. Jeff, hope you’re enjoying st bart ... show more

  • Getting better with the last OS update, but still room for improvement
Size: 55-inch Color: Walnut
Updating to two stars — In order to get the motion sensor (omnisense) to work, “Voice Commands when Screen is Off” must be enabled. This is why it never worked for me as I had disabled voice commands. Only bumping up one star as the voice command feature is not documented at all as a requirement for motion detection. Still not seeing 2K pieces of art, and no way to force the TV to stay on. I can watch a movie and the TV stays on, why can’t I look at art in the same way? Updating my review from 5 stars to 1 star. The omnisense (auto on feature) just does not work consistently. It will work maybe once then when the TV goes into standby, it will never come on again without using the remote. If I restart the TV it will start working again, meaning omnisense will turn on the TV automatically. Also, there is no way to set a schedule and have the TV just stay on in art mode. If no motion is detected after about 5 min it goes into standby. Very annoying if you are sitting close by in the room and the fact that omnisense doesn’t work all the time you are forced to use the remote. And no clue about the 2000 free artworks. It only lets me cycle through 75 pieces of art at the most. Final thing, I am unable to use the Photos app. When trying to launch I get a message that the Photos app is unavailable and I need to update my TV, yet I’m on the latest version of the software. Very disappointed…. Original review: Been looking for something like this for a long time, especially the free artwork. Great picture quality, and pretty simple to install. Only complaint is that the Photos apps says it’s unavailable and I need to update the TV, but there’s no updates available. ... show more

  • Excellent TV Excellent TV
Reading all these one star reviews were making me nervous about my purchase, but I’m happy to say it was unfounded. The TV feels a little heavier than other 65” I have, but attaching it on the wall was easy using the template. As soon as it powered up, it started to update. The setting was a breeze. There are quite a few options for the art style, I haven’t counted it but it looks like it does have 2000 arts/photos to choose from. Everyone mentioned that the sensor wasn’t working, mine didn’t work at first, but I noticed there was a strip of clear film over it. Once it was removed, the sensor started to work fine. As soon as you walk in the room, it comes in and when you leave, it goes to standby/dark mode, you have the option to set the distance for sensing. The frame just snaps together easily, The picture quality is very good, the sound is decent, I may connect a sound bar to it. I’ve had it for a few days now, but Over all it looks like an excellent TV and you can’t go wrong with the price comparing to other brands that you have to subscribe for the art, and purchase the frame separately which are anywhere from $350 to $550. ... show more

So far so good. TV looks beautiful and set up wast terrible. While VESA mounts are standard where they are on TVs are not so that was the most annoying moving my mount from its former LG positioning to where it is now. Software is smoother but not as fast as they make it sound. By far better than my old fire stick but not seamless. Other integrations are ok, sometimes have to click on something a few times and then I can get to the soundbar set up, etc. I have Astound cable and unfortunately not a partner of Amazon’s so my cable isn’t integrated. Early experience with the art work has been very positive - I like the selection and with the matting it really does look like art hanging on the wall. Hopefully Amazon doesn’t chop it 50% in July - not sure if it’s worth full price but I had an old tv and it’s a decent value vs the Samsung gallery so decided to do it. Will update review as I use it more and see how it performs ... show more

  • Easy install, smooth interface and love free art selections. Easy install, smooth interface and love free art selections.
Upgraded from a 19 year old Samsung 1080p 48” tv to this 65” tv! AMAZING! I dint like how my old TV stuck out so far from the wall and with this being in my living room I water Something larger to fill my space yet subtle to fill space in a more elegant way. I’m so happy Amazon released this esp NOT having to have a separate box needed like the completion brand TV. This TV sits SUPER FLUSH to the wall and install was very easy and straight forward. I ONLY had one stud I could attach two lug screws too but then used the 8 included screws and drywall anchors to secure mount solid to the wall. DEF a two person lift to install but once on the mount the 4 magnetic mount points on the corners add a nice final touch of security. The frame arrived two days later and I have it on and it’s very nice! The ONE thing and I won’t knock a star for it but I think Amazon could have been a bit more innovative in choosing the plug outlet. If plugging into a wall outlet directly behind the TV… I had todo some extra work and RECESS my outlet receptacle. To accept the plug type. I wish Amazon would have supplied a flat style outlet to then not have to modify my outlet. All in all I’m pretty impressed with the TV. Yes there are others for less money but I just LOVE how it sits flush with wall. ... show more

  • Disappointed with software compatibility
Size: 55-inch Color: Pale Gold
For some reason the Xbox app is not compatible with the Ember Artline 55”. Prior to preordering, I consulted Rufus AI on the product page. It insisted that the Xbox app *is* compatible. I was frustrated to find out it is not after mounting the TV on my wall. I hope Amazon addresses this issue swiftly or I will be returning the Ember Artline for a refund. ... show more

  • Not Impressed
Size: 65-inch Color: Matte White
I have two Samsung Pro Frame TVs. I wanted to try the Amazon Ember for a kids/guest area, so I bought the 65" version. The Samsung Pro is a nightmare to wall mount as you have two mounting plates to work with, so I thought this one has to be better. NO, the mounting bracket is too small to secure to two studs unless the placement is exact. Also, it doesn't allow small adjustments once on the wall. The TV is difficult to drop onto the mount; they give you ridiculous yellow tape to place on the mount and TV so you can better see where the two match up, but it doesn't help much. Once on the wall, it sticks out like a TV, not a picture frame, like the Samsung. The TV is also weirdly heavy. Even the UPS driver noted the TV had more weight to it than most of the ones he delivers. The sound is so muddy and awful, I had to order a soundbar to go with it, but that hasn't arrived yet. The available frames are some type of metal, not plastic, like the Samsung, but they don't fit as well as the plastic ones. My box was missing mounting hardware, so I called Amazon. They said they couldn't send me the hardware, but after negotiating, I was given a 10% credit on the purchase of the TV amounting to about $101. I was able to source the missing parts at a local hardware store. This gives me concerns about the support that will be available for this TV. The available art is underwhelming, with many ugly (IMO) options. I'll probably purchase art from Etsy, like I do for the Samsungs. I tried the AI feature to take pictures of your room and it'll suggest matching art. The results were laughable. Lastly, guests are surprised when they find out my Samsung frames are actually TV's. They won't be fooled by the Amazon Frame; it looks like a TV on the wall. The picture quality is pretty good, but the Matte screen is glossier than the Samsung which makes the art seem more like a screensaver than artwork. It's not worth the effort to return it, but if I had to do over, I would have bought another Samsung Pro instead. ... show more
