This is the second time Amazon has made an error regarding the gift note. In this instance, I mailed a gift card to my friend's daughter for her birthday. When ordering, I requested a note to be added wishing her a happy birthday and letting her know it was from me. The note did not arrive with the card. She had to ask if I had sent it. This is an error that should easily be avoided.

Gift card was supposed to be free as part of ordering a digital download of tax software. But then I was charged the $10 for the gift card. Amazon lies. I’m told there is nothing to be done and a refund cannot be issued. Enjoy it amazon, this will be the last of my money you will ever see.

Two out of five $100 gift cards have already been redeemed! I'M LIVID!! Apparently, this is common based on other reviews. I stock up on Amazon gift cards and give them out throughout the year for various occasions. Amazon Customer Service was no help. No, I didn't redeem them. No, I didn't give them to anyone else. They were sealed in the Amazon envelopes before opening to write a message. It's embarrassing to give a gift and then being told it didn't work.

To whom this concerns, I purchased two $100.00 gift cards in September 2017. I tried to use them for a purchase a few days ago and it said they had been redeemed. I haven't used them so I would like for you to deposit both 100.00 moneys back to my bank account last week. Thank you, Angela Thibodeaux

The gift cards (plastic like normal) and paper cards are OK, but milled cheaply. They come in an additional envelope, thankfully. One of the five I bought was blackened and ripped-obviously from where it came from-not from the mail. Some were dog eared from being shoved/crammed in my mailbox so badly that the paper envelope it came in was mangled. We can thank either the poor outside packaging or the mail person for that part. I don’t think I’ll be spending $625 in gift cards from Amazon anymore.:(

Normally this gift card is beautiful. Easy, giftable, and thick. Mine was delivered on my front porch in drenching rain and I was not notified. Needless to say the card is ruined. It was delivered by UPS in a plain brown paper envelope. Both angry and very disappointed. My other cards delivered by USPS arrived in great shape. Beware of carriers!!! I gave only 1 star due to the overall deplorable condition in which it was delivered. A shame because it is a lovely card with matching gift card.

These Amazon gift cards that come with a blank greeting card are extremely convenient! They usually arrive in 24-48 hours. I don't have to worry about buying a separate greeting card, since Amazon has some really nice greeting card designs for all occasions. The greeting cards are blank on the inside, but that doesn't bother me, as I prefer to personalize my greeting cards anyway. I also like how many of the gift cards themselves have a design on them as well, and that you can buy them in so many different denominations. If you buy them at the store, they usually only come in the one design with the "a" on it and have only 3 or 4 limited denominations that they can be purchased in. I've bought a couple of these for birthdays, holidays, and anniversaries. Most people I know buy something or another through Amazon. Another option I like when I'm purchasing a last minute gift (like on Christmas Eve), is the option to purchase an Amazon gift card and have it emailed to you or the recipient. It isn't nearly as pretty, but it is a very convenient option with instantaneous delivery which also allows you to purchase in various different denominations. Both the greeting card and email options also save you from the hassle of running to a retail store and waiting on a long line to buy one or two gift cards during the holiday season.
