Post-covid I started making my own cat food as I had no job, less money to spend on fancy cans, and all the time in the world. My cats would eat this homemade-with-love food, but were noticeably less happy about it even though I tried my hardest to replicate what was in the cans. But something about food from a can (including the sound of opening it) was their happy place and I recently started to give in with the compromise of offering canned mixed with homemade. I don't know why an animal would choose canned food over a baked chicken or fresh grilled trout, but mine are weirdoes and that's what they like. Now I still serve them homemade, but pop the can and put a bit over the top and they're happier than pigs in ish (which pigs aren't really happy in btw, this is a myth but that's the saying), and when they're happy I am as well. Glad Amazon provides this option at a reasonable price and that it's not full of garbage ingredients. Intend to purchase again; cats love it. ... show more

My fussy cats are very choosy on food, they have no problem walking away if they don’t like the smell and will go without eating. I couldn’t get their normal food and so Amazons Wonder Bound was on sale and decided to try. It’s become their favorite, it’s moist with additional juice and easily comes right out of the can. Given the low current price of 11 for a case of 24 plus the 15% if spend 50, i decided to get 4 cases and donate them to our local shelter.. Our last 3ish yr old shelter cat adoptee will only eat fancy feast tender beef so i decided to first try the beef flavor with him. To my surprise he didn’t try to bury this wonder bound beef flavor at all and ate it!!! i like to feed all the cats the same thing so decided to try the beef with everyone else and they all ate it too.. with exception of the beef lover, the others cats also liked the other two flavors too. awesome price so bought 8 more cases, 4 beefs for us and 4 variety packs will go to shelter as originally planned.. my only dislike is that it is a little strong on the fish side, it is what you smell when opening cans. pate itself in current cans we received are on smooth non-dried side, easy to mash down for our cats that prefer it that way.. not the best quality food out there but, meat is first and rest of ingredients aren’t too bad. pretty much almost like fancy feast pates but, cheaper in price.. given my cats are fancy feast addicts, it kinda makes sense they ended up liking these too. ... show more

    • REVIEW UPDATE - DENTED CAN PROBLEMS

UPDATE 11-20-23: Amazon seems to have stopped putting the thin cardboard separators inside the boxes of WonderBound cat food (between the layers of cans inside the 24packs)... the little pieces of cardboard that used to keep the cans from banging into each other during shipping. Maybe it was a short-term insert-malfunction at the canning factory and we just happened to get 4 out of our 6 boxes with no separators inside. We'll see next time we order this stuff. Amazon also seems to hate putting much of any padding inside the shipping boxes between the boxes (24packs of WB). Anyway, we have started to get a lot of dented cans. Just ordered 6 boxes (24packs) and got them for $14.39 per box this time, rather than the usual $17.08 we had been paying. But out of those 6 boxes, we had 26 badly dented cans, and about the same amount of mildly dented cans. We had to throw out the badly dented ones for safety, but as usual, Amazon was good about refunded us for the really bad ones. So subtract 2 stars in your mind for delivery probs - but I'll leave my original 5 stars in place - for how well the cats love this brand. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Didn't think our cats would like this stuff, but took a chance just to give them something different, give them some variety. Btw, gave 17 bucks for 24 three ounce cans of pate - got the Beef/Chicken/Turkey & Giblet variety box. Anyway, was a little surprised that the quality was comparably high to other pricier pate we get from Wellness, Fancy Feast, Sheeba, etc. and even super pricey stuff like Nutro. I wouldn't be surprised if all these brand names were made in the same generic production type factory and the makers just stick different logos and labels on the cans for different big companies... who in turn stick wildly differing prices on them. But I'm no cat so it all looks the same to me. But they will turn their noses up at some of the pricier stuff and run to this stuff. So yeah, we'll be buying more of this Wonder Bound stuff since everything else seems to be getting stupid expensive. ... show more

I typically try and buy high quality food for my senior cat, mainly the cat food brand “Smalls”; but recently I ran out and had to buy something quick while waiting for my next cat food shipment. I decided to buy this product on a whim. Mainly for cheapness, quickness and the amount of cans. Well the no.1 thing I noticed right away was my cats poop smelled HORRIBLE… like filled the entire apartment bad! Gross!! 2nd that my cat out of the blue would not finish the beef cans (which she loved in the beginning). It got to the point where I was tired of the smelly poops reeking the place and my cat not eating. I didn’t even finish the cans and just bought “royal canine” feline dry food (wayyyyy better because the kibble were moist but dry if that makes sense). To conclude this review, I won’t purchase this food again. I don’t feel it was high quality or healthy. honestly I should’ve read the reviews especially the video review of the cat who seemed to have had a bad reaction to this particular food. 😔 I admit I didn’t do my due diligence when it came to really researching before buying, so please buy with caution if you really want the best for your feline babies. 🐱 ... show more

I like the fact that there is usually extra "juice" in the can when opened. Often it seems to help my cat enjoy the meal. Seems to be a decent alternative to more expensive foods.
