Not only do the feral cats love this, but my 2 Siamese boys and the neighbor's 2 cats give rave reviews for this food! A huge plus is there is NO carrageenan in this food, and no 'suspicious' ingredients. It looks good and does not 'stink', unlike other seafood feline pate recipes.

We decided to try this after reading the ingredients and some outside reviews and decided to give it a shot. I was feeding my cats the WB Turkey in gravy after having them taste test all of the gravy varieties. Yes, they actually chose the turkey. But after about a year they were seemingly growing tired of it. I had a box of the beef pate at the bottom of my stack of turkeys and inadvertently opened a can of beef ( I was surprised to see pate, not expecting or noticing it). They scoffed it down! So, now they get beef and are much happier. I have two adult cats and they each get a half can in the morning, and a half can in the evening. They are allowed to graze dry food all day, as well. I wish the amount of gravy at the bottom of the pate cans was mor consistent, but that is probably the only gripe I have. ***I cancelled my WB turkey, but Amazon wouldn't take it back, even though I hadn't even opened the box it shipped in. Since I order 4 at a time on Subscribe and Save, it was $50 worth of turkey that I got stuck with. Booooo Amazon! Hence the 4 stars. ... show more

Smells extremely like Tuna, even though tuna is not on the list. Could it be the anonymous "Fish"? No way to tell. I try to avoid large predator fish such as tuna because mercury is cumulative. I usually stick to small feeder fish like sardine and mackerel. The food is well liked by my guy. It is quite moist, not hard and tight at all. It is good and smelly, which of course is attractive to cats. It has a higher ash level than I like to see, so even if I were going to continue feeding this food, I couldn't feed it very often. It does not say what the phosphorus level is, and I've been unable to reach a manufacturer to ask. It's a good price for the 24 cans, especially as they aren't filled with cheap corn or legumes. The 3 oz size is a good one for single cat households, too. Not too much, not too little. As for why I'm not a repeat purchaser? Even occasionally? Well, it's the completely unnecessary inclusion of Red Dye #3. My cat doesn't care if it is redder than it should be, so what's the point? This food smells so bad and none of my 4 cats like it and my dog won’t eat it either and they love canned food. I’m not sure what is missing in the ingredients because I’m definitely not going to taste it to find out but something is obviously wrong with this recipe when all of the animals take one sniff or one bite and then walk away. I tried the food from this case several times and always the same results. So finally I put it out on my porch thinking the neighborhood strays would smell it from a mile away and they would just be thankful to have food and would devour it. They never touched it. I finally had to pick up the plates of food and just throw it away. If I shared a photo it would just be of gray uneaten seafood on a plate. Save your money and buy something you know for. Bought repeatedly because a picky cat prefers it. Picky cat has recently had GI issues the vet couldn’t diagnose. I never made the connection until slicing up the salmon pate today and there’s pieces of blue PLASTIC in the food. Reported to the 877 # on the can, but they didn’t even want the lot#.
