The desk is basic and sturdy due to its heaviness, not kinetic ingenuity. It’s not solid wood but MDF. I just wanted to downsize from an oversized desk. I put the desk together with the provided hand tool. I took an hour and a half with distractions. However, it was a very easy assembly. Lifting the assembled desk requires strong back. I advise you to get little coaster feet to put on the legs to help you push the desk around if you have wooden floors. ... show more

Sturdy and good quality. Love the wide drawer. Shipped fast and no defects. Hard to assemble, though, as the screw threads were too tight for the screws. Needed my strong husband and even he had to give up on a couple.

I've ordered 2 thus far...the first one was an open box and it was perfect... the second one looks good so far (haven't put it together), but they shipped me the wrong color. It's a heavy beast and looks like solid wood.

The wood is heavy and solid, the drawer is also solid and smooth and does not slam shut. The best is there are very little parts to put together.
