My expectations were lower because these weren't expensive lamps. They arrived in near-perfect condition except for the world's smallest stain on one shade, no big deal. They look cheap by comparison to the actual bronze tables I put them near, but I accept that was the risk I took. My main problem is the shades shown in the picture are close to white. The ones that come are made in a dingy, yellowed color I call Century Old Bridal Gown. They definitely don't look like I got new lamps. They look like it's about time to get new lamps. The bulbs that came were dim and slightly orange in cast, so the two together made a dim, seedy light in the small dark room I have them in. I thought the one old, also dirt-cheap lamp I was replacing was dim -- too dim to do work by right now during these lock downs -- but these two lamps together produced less light than that single lamp and are just far less sturdy. I changed to brighter bulbs and that helped a lot, but I can't live forever with these yellowed shades. By replacing the shades, I'll still get out cheaper than if I'd bought two nice lamps, but I wish I'd just done that instead of buying these. Also the shade just sits on top --not screwed in-- so every time you bump the lamp, you have to straighten the crooked shade. Maybe some museum putty will help, I don't know. That's three "projects" that the lamps need to make them acceptable to me. I would have returned except I don't want to risk package carriers any more right now than I already have. Just received new lamp. Easy to assemble very sturdy construction. Fit and finish prefect. The lamp was delivered with a 800 lumen LED bulb, which gives off a nice warm glow. I feel this lamp is well worth the price and would recommend it to others.

Nice floor lamp for the price but I constantly fight with the lamp shade to keep the three prongs in the ring around the bulb as it’s right beside my bed and used as a reading lamp. Touch it and the prongs disengage.
