Just purchased this item. Easy to put in the 3 AAA batteries and stick up in a closet. Really like the ability to detach the ball part of the light (held on with a magnet) and use it to see the back of the closet. Will report back after using for a few weeks. --Comes with a screw or adhesive pad to keep the socket part of the light attached to the wall. Good news: the light falling from 4 feet did not break it. Bad news: Use the screw to hold it up not the pad. ... show more

I like these lights! They work effectively, definitely motion sensitive and work like a charm. They are very bright though. It works great for me since I am using them for security purposes for indoor windows, but if you want a soft light at night this is not soft, unless there is another setting I have yet to discover. It's like a spot light. Love them and recommend them. Great concept to have them round, they rotate well in the magnetic holder. And so cool I could use it as a hand held light too. Very creative design. I haven't tried the adhesive. The size is small enough that it fits on the corner of a table or other small space well. I'd order more if needed. ... show more

This was the 3rd light I ordered. The first two were too sensitive to light and would not go on if there was any light at all. These lights are fantastic. They go on with the slightest movement and are not overly sensitive to light. When we have our hallway light on this light in the closet still works perfectly. UPDATED REVIEW: I ordered these lights January 5, 2022 and gave them a 5 star review. I never expected that today March 30, 202 these lights would be useless. I attached the lights to the side of a tool box so that when I open the door to enter the garage the lights would brightly light the steps going into the garage. They did for a little while...just a little while. Today one is completely dead and one is so dim it doesn't give off usable light. I now give them barely 1 star. I am so disappointed and would not recommend buying these lights if you want them to last longer than 2 months. INITIAL REVIEW These lights are extremely bright and so much better than I expected! I can't see my black or brown dog laying on the floor in the middle of the night so I needed something to light up the floor if I needed to get up. I placed one the floor in the corner where it won't get kicked around. The slightest movement and BAM! brightly lit floor and no more tripping over the dogs! I used the extremely strong magnetic base on the second one included to attach to side of the tool box in the garage and angled the light toward the steps as I open the kitchen door. The slightest movement and BAM! brightly lit steps and no more tripping down the steps. These lights are fantastic and I will be ordering more. Thank you thank you thank you! ... show more

These lights are great with one exception - the magnet that his then in place is NOT strong. If you have them in any area where there's movement, they fall off easily. 3 stars as is, 5 stars if magnet was stronger.

We purchased these for our stairwell leading to the second floor of our old house. We have two light switches that control the light fixture at the top of the stairs but if one switch is active, the other switch won't control the light which is a pain. Also, the lower light switch is in an awkward place and we have to go up several stairs in the dark to find the switch. We put one of these motion lights at the base of the stairs and another a little over halfway up. These light the stairs nicely and we don't need to deal with light switch issues. The negative thing is that the light do indeed have poor battery life. With intermittent activation, we find that the lights dim considerably after about 2 days. We are using good quality Eneloop rechargeable batteries otherwise we'd be spending a lot on regular alkaline batteries. I'm considering returning these for something with better battery life. ... show more

Very happy with this light, the motion sensor works very well. Great idea to have it magnetized to the stand, it can be used as a flashlight if need be. If i have one complaint it would be the brightness level, i personally don't need it to be bright so it works for me but if you're looking for an ultra bright LED light then this is not the light for you. It would work great as a night light in a hallway or stair case. ... show more
