I travel with my iPad Pro and about as fancy as my uses get on the road are streaming movies and reading online news news + research. So it works and it works and it works and that’s all I want. My only reservation is how long the 2 AAA batteries will last. The Amazon wirless mouse does not allow recharging batteries, which the fancier but sketchier Blue Tooth mouses had. I don't mind changing batteries periodically, and hopefully they will last at least a month with regular use. If not, I'll downgrade my rating to 4 stars or return the mouse. ... show more

I've never used any of the extended mouse features of advanced mice other than sideways scrolling somewhat. I had a brand name mouse with a mouse wheel that would freely spin and as a result the screen would bounce back or forward sometimes with me doing nothing other than moving the mouse (not the wheel). I tried both the built-in MS mouse driver and the brand name mouse driver and it happened enough that it became a big annoyance. I set out searching for a plain mouse that had detents for the mouse wheel and no fluff. This mouse ended up being perfect. I was very pleasantly surprised. Works perfectly. I didn’t want to go out to the big box stores to replace my husbands mouse, so I took a chance on what I was sure would be value performance for value dollar. But this works fine and I was surprised!! Oh, the thing that plugs into the computer, it’s there, not in the box, inside the actual mouse, hahaha, you have to open the mouse panel and pull out the blue tooth thingy and follow instructions. I was so upset thinking, “Oh Brother, I’ve got to call customer service for a cheap Mouse? “ but then I just happened to open it up to put in batteries, and there it was!!! Using it for laptop. Setting it up is easy beyond belief! There's a little flash drive to plug into your usb port on your computer, then turn it on (after putting in batteries) & voila! it works. No problems at all. I don't use it for gaming so couldn't rate that and not aware of a sleep mode. It's a lot easier on my wrist and hand muscles than just using a touch pad on laptop.
