I bought this cable for charging several USB devices from a MacBook Pro. It worked well for about eight months. Then, I noticed my portable phone battery wouldn't charge any more. I thought it might just be failing, but the next device I used this cable to charge (a Bose headset) actually started smoking when I plugged this cable in. I'm using this to connect a Fiio K1 DAC to a Pixel 2, and it works perfectly. It's been a few days now of what I think is a relatively normal amount of yanking around into and out of my coat pocket on subway commutes; time will tell how durable it is.     • Fast charge capable
Works great for my purpose. I have a USB C fast charge plug from an LG phone I no longer own and a wireless charger for my new Galaxy S8+ and this works amazingly. The charger I ordered from Amazon as well and it required a micro USB which was not included. This lives next to my bed connected to the wireless charger and carries the current very well. Most new phones are very selective in how they receive a charge and this cord does not disappoint. ... show more

One of the issues with a TB3 port is that you may not know the capabilities of the CABLE you plug into it. That's especially the case for charging cables, that may fail miserably when asked to carry data. I have a large number of USBc to MicroUSB that will charge my Garmin Edge 1030 bike computer, but fail miserably when I try to mount the bike computer on my MacBook Pro's desktop. This cable solves that instantly. These cords are 6 inches from the end of the connector to the end of the connector. They’re not actually 6 inches of cord. The last half inch to 3/4 of an inch is the connector. This cord would have been and should have been perfect for my DJI Ronin-SC to Sony a7Sii connection, however the middle section of the cord is not 6 inches long. ... show more

Love AmazonBasics in general. These are high quality 6' cables that I needed for 2 rooms for my Kindle Fire. I have different apps I run that eat up battery juice. So I recently bought a 2021 Yukon with the Rear Entertainment system. There are 2 HDMI ports as for some reason GM did not want to integrate roku or fire tv into the system.... but to solve this problem and make it look as clean as I could without having to take the fire stick in and out I used these USB Cables along with Cable Matters right Angle HDMI adapter, This was to point the stick down so it does not stick out and get broken off or knocked down by kids getting in and out.
