This notepad WAS awesome. I find the 5x5 inch versions to be too large when I'm taking notes, and when I ordered this, I immediately fell in love and my notes looked fabulous. Seeing that they've changed the MM version to inches is extremely disappointing. And as I start my last pad, I'm seriously considering buying an A4 pad, some plastic sleeves and a binder to stick the resultant notes in from Amazon UK.     • Looking for excellent graph paper tablets? Look no further Amazon has them.
Thes Amazon Basiic graph paper tablets are the very best, the pic of the litter so to speak. The print is really bold on both sides and does not fade like store bought paper does. The backing is firm enough that a clip board is really not necessary to use. We looked and looked for quality graph paper, as usuall Amazon came through big time.The paper and delivery are much better and faster than we expected. A great buy for figuring taxes or any compulation on, get em while they last ! ... show more

    • Squared paper (Metric) not as thick.
PROS: 1) Overall the pad is sturdy because of the cardboard backing. I can use it in the field without a clipboard just fine. 2) The perforation makes it easy to tear a page off without damaging the pad or other pages. CONS: 1) The paper is a bit thin, it is good for a pencil or a ballpen but an inkblot, even just a dot or period, from a technical pen, sign pen or even a gel pen will blot through the page and you will no longer be able to use the back of the sheet. 2) They did not specify the grid size on the product description. The grid is basically for metric system users since there are 5 linear squares for every linear 2cm or 20mm on both the X and Y axis (Horizontal and Vertical) Basically 25 squares per 4 sq cm. However, if you are using the imperial system there are 6.5 linear squares for every linear inch (both horizontal and vertical). Thus you have approximately 42.25 squares per square inch. SUMMARY: Not so good paper quality but sturdy. Ok if you are using the metric system or metric scales....not so much for imperial systems like I do. ... show more

Great for taking notes for work

    • Good for use with a fountain pen
The paper is thin but Fountain pen ink bleeds through only if you make a blob of ink. I use such pads for my scratch work and throw away most of what I write . For tis reason the thinness of the paper is not important and may be a plus. I can also use both sides of each page. The only other standard brand that I have found to have this property is Rhodia which is twice a expensive (but much more substantial) with writing surface that is too smooth for my taste. Most of the negative reviews emphasize the size of the squares that are not standard or that the sheets do not tear cleanly. The former isn't important to me. I have not had the latter experience. ... show more

I use this for sketching and while not as thick and sturdy as other brands, it is good enough for my purposes. The grid is NOT 1/4" as implied by "quad-ruled pad." But if that is not crucial to your purposes, it is fine.
