I have painted many times over the years and used a variety of painter's tape and this is by far the worst quality I have ever used. The tape sticks at first, but does not remain stuck to the wall and peels off in the middle of the job! I kept trying to use it and it behaved the same way the entire time. This is surprisingly low quality for an AmazonBasic product. Normally the lower price makes any drop in quality or lifespan worth the purchase; however, if the product can't serve its intended purpose, it is useless and in this case it is even detrimental. Painters tape must remain stuck to the wall to prevent paint from seeping through onto your trim or floor. I had to continually reapply the tape, clean up the paint that seeped through, and after the walls were painted, I had to spend time and money touching up the trim that had wall paint all over it. This product made the job significantly more difficult, frustrating and time consuming.

Generally I find Amazon Basic products to be pretty good. This is a definite exception. I ran out of 3M Blue painters tape so I ordered the Amazon Basics 6 pack of blue painters tape. Well it does not work. When I went to pull the tape off after painting my daughter's bedroom this tape pulled off large chunks of the ceiling paint. The parts of the room I had taped with the 3M tape did not do this. I have used lots of brands of painters tape and this is the absolute worst. If you use it it will peel paint off the areas covered by the tape. I will be getting my money back. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT.

I have used this product 2 times now using it mostly to hand plastic sheeting on the walls while I paint. In both cases the sheeting falls off the wall even before I get it all up and no matter how much tape i use, it just does not stay put. Peels off the walls, peels off the plastic sheeting... also starts to peels off itself after a few minutes. And really don't try to use this tape for edging! This tape just wont properly stick and paint will seep under the edges and ruin any type of straight line you think you have. Best to buy a better brand of tape and don't worry about saving money with this tape... but think about saving time and your sanity for having to keep adding tape everywhere you have used it and its just not sticking in place!

This is a great value and the tape does a great job in certain areas. I expect that for interiors that this is amazing. It is not as good as the more expensive tapes that really come up and down very well, but for the price, it is fine. For exterior work this is not as good a value. It really struggles remaining on some concrete surfaces (even though they were clean / power washed and dry). Several areas where the air sprayer we were painting with just blew the tape loose off of an area, causing us to have to remove the mask and clean an area before the paint dried. Fortunately most of these were areas that we are still working to refinish or renew. Would buy again for interior, but maybe not for some exterior areas.

Excellent Quality tape at a fraction of the cost of the original Blue Tape. I would buy again when I need it. 12-14-2019 Ive been using this on several painting jobs recently and the tape keeps falling off the ceiling I am trying to paint. I'm not sure if the tape is old or what. I've cleaned the area I put the tape on with a broom and then use a lightly damp mop. I then wait a while until it's dry to the touch. I put the tape back on again and it falls off. The tape has worked well for some of my other painting jobs but several months later the tale does not stick. I also notice when I bought this Tape in July 2019 it was several dollars cheaper than what it is now. I will buy this tape one more time and if I have the same problems again, I'm having now its all going back and I'll buy a better Brand.

I bought this painters tape with the greatest of hopes and was bitterly disappointed. Applied the tape to a dust free, clean and smooth surface and it doesn’t stick. At all. It stays for about 1.5 minutes and then starts to fall. I tried this on several surfaces: baseboard, painted mdf, tile, painted drywall… it didn’t stick to any of them. At all. It doesn’t even stick to itself. If you’re looking for a tape that peels off easily, this is for you. Just don’t count on it to do the job you need it for. I should have skipped this and bought some frog tape instead.

Bought this tape for masking while repainting the house and chose over 3M for the price. It was a false savings in that the adhesion was not up to the task and would often let loose and needed to be reapplied. I ended up going with the 3M, spending perhaps $10 more for the bulk package at HD. Close clone, but not quite there.

I work on murals. My most recent one was outside in August heat, with canvas in a frame mounted on the side of a truck. So.. it’s hot, and exposed to the elements. Two nights before we were scheduled to begin painting, we taped off the design using a projector. That very night the rain poured like the devil himself didn’t want to see the mural a reality. The tape stayed, and continued to stay for three more days in direct August sunlight, messy painting, then peeled off at the end with zero problems. If that’s not a worthy test, I don’t know what is.
