These Amazon Basics notepads are the kind of thing I buy without thinking now. I keep one by the phone, one on my desk, one in the garage, and another in the kitchen junk drawer that’s definitely not junk. They’re narrow ruled, which means I can actually read what I wrote later instead of the usual cramped chaos. The paper’s smooth and doesn’t bleed through with normal pens. I use them for everything: work notes, grocery lists, quick sketches of home projects that will probably never happen. The top edge tears clean, which shouldn’t be rare but somehow is with cheaper pads. They’re not fancy. No leather binding, no recycled artisan paper from a monastery in France. Just twelve clean pads that make sense for the price and last forever. Pros * Affordable for a 12-pack * Clean tear sheets * Compact size fits anywhere * Sturdy cardboard backing for writing on the go * Good paper weight for pens and markers Cons * Cover bends if you toss it in a backpack If you like reliable, no-drama stationery, these just work. It is what it is but it’s not the same as I purchased previously. The backbone is very cheap and thin. The paper is also thin. Just be sure you’re ordering the correct one. If you’ve purchased previously go back to your orders and order that specific one.

I absolutely do not recommend this product, I have never written a bad review before, but this absolutely takes the cake for worst product ever! I have used every one of the 12 note pads, and now need to pull away the many pages of the first part of the pads to continue on with more writing from a different part of the manuscript I am currently working on. When I attempted to pull out the top part of around 15 pages or so, they would not do it all at once, okay, but when I did it with just a few pages, five to ten, they ripped at the top, never using the perforated part at all, it was like tearing it without that crucial part of the page! The tops are now ruined, the notes to top, the dates, time, and explanation of where this begins, are fragmented! More work cut out for me, to replace this info, and when you have a deadline time matters. The computer light and scrolling trigger migraines so I must hand write. Beware!
