The container it comes in makes it look like the chair but it's really squished into this tiny cube. Let it out and it is an amazingly large chair that is durable and comfy. This bag is huge! But it's what my son wanted. He often will be found sleeping on it, all 5'6" inches of him (of course with feet dangling off it!). Easy to clean too as the bean bags are sealed in so you can take the cover off to wash.

I got the red 6’ lounger. So, I managed to roll it up the stairs one step at a time, by myself, in the zip fabric bag that is inside the box, to the upstairs room. I’m a girl and old (lol 57), not hard to do on your own, definitely do-able. Once inside the room, unzipped the fabric shipping bag to reveal the lounger air shrunk inside a clear plastic bag. Released it from the plastic bag but no immediate “poof” as you would expect from something shrink wrapped (all the air sucked out to make it smaller for shipping). I started to pick at the fabric cover, it was slow going, and once I got the cover looser, eventually had to get inside the red fabric cover to break apart the compacted foam bits. If you read the inserts, the zipper tab has been removed for child safety (very frustrating but ok, I guess, probably a dumb consumer law). I bent open a large paper clip, as per the instructions (READ them!), and it unzipped easily. I dove my arms into the cover and used them like salad tossers to break apart the bits of foam that were packed together due to the shrink wrap shipping process. Ugh…what a mess. Highly recommend you place a large sheet or plastic under the bean bag before you unzip and begin the break apart process. That way it might be easier to clean up, the foam bits and bobs go everywhere and stick to everything. Once I was happy with the foam bits (the stuffing) being separated sufficiently, I zipped it up using the large paper clip. Then…clean up begins. Quite a mess and time consuming but with a good vacuum, it does happen eventually. I rolled the bag around, tossed it about, to fluff it up. It did get pretty fluffy. I actually spent the night on it even though I wanted to let it puff up more for a few days—but my husband was ill so I chose to isolate. The main takeaway is that you do smush it down with body weight but it will puff up again if you just roll it back and forth, flip it over and back. I guess it could use more filling, too. Biggest complaint is the chemical smell coming from the bits of foam inside…again, this is only 24 hours in so we will see, but that smell better relax and dissipate over time. Overall…not bad for the price IF that smell dissipates. Pretty comfy for watching tv, using a tablet, reading, etc. Sleeping is ok…I am 5’5” and my feet dangled over the edge a bit. I like it. I might try to procure more foam stuffing…it could use a bit more, IMHO. UPDATE: After several days and daily rolling and flipping, the foam stuffing has puffed up a great deal more and the pod is huge! YAY. The weird chemical smell from the stuffing seems to be dissipating but very slowly.

First off, I tried to cancel this bag after I ordered it. Even within five minutes I was told it was already being shipped, it couldn’t be canceled, and if I didn’t want it once I got it that I could return it at that point. No matter how I tried, Amazon was determined to get this bag delivered to me. That being said, when the bag showed up, curiosity got the better of me and I opened it. This thing is incredibly packed! It’s identical to how a parachute is packed!!! It has a throwaway bag, that holds the compressed bag together. Once you open that bag, you’re pretty much committed! I got the chair size, I believe 3‘ x 2‘, and once it started to fill, it gets pretty darn big! I’m a product of the 60s, and have done just about everything in a beanbag chair. Back in the day, real beanbags had a different feel. The memory foam in this one is different, and I have to say I don’t really like it. However Trying to return it is a Aegean task. I really can’t walk into UPS with an object to this large, there’s no way I’m going to be able to compress it back into the shipping bag as it was, and the only other alternative was to have a UPS truck come to my house to pick it up. For 40 bucks, I just decided to bite the bullet and keep it. Maybe one of the grandkids will enjoy it and I’ll be able to put it in the back of my pick up and give it to them. It does seem to be of good quality, and it’s shaped as a cylinder would be shaped. I guess it’s OK, but as I said, it doesn’t have the 60s feel of the little beans inside the bag.

Review after 1 month..so far so good, would recommend Size: After reading the reviews, and even trying the "view in your room" option - still could not appreciate how big it was..! Purchased the 4 ft, thinking that size is great for 2 small kids; turns out it fits 1 adult and 2 kids comfortably; so would confirm what others say - its large; be prepared Color: Got gray, and happy with it, had thought about Black but was worried it would pick up too much dust; can't confirm but Gray seems to not show too many dust or other particles Price: compared to name brand products, can't be beat - of course Amazon has their great return policy, but given the size this feels way too annoying to return; so hopefully this holds up for me.
