I use about 40 padded envelopes in this size per month from Boxery but decided to give Basics a try as they are about 10 cents less per envelope. The dimensions are the same, but the bubbles on The Basics aren't as thick or strong. You don't realize at first until you compare them beside each other, then it's quite obvious. They are fine for a magazine or lighter paperback. They were shipped loose in a box, which I'm used to, but there were only 48 envelopes in the box, which Amazon corrected. So, good for what they are, and I can definitely use them, but you will notice a difference if you are used to something else.

These were smaller than anticipated, but otherwise the same as you normally use. The padding, however, was not as thick as I expected. I needed something protective as well as easy to ship without extra cost due to the weight. Once you add in your item, it can vary a lot if you have paid a significant cost already for the shipping envelopes. Despite being thinner and less padded, they are still pretty sturdy, even when placing odd shaped items in it to ship as opposed to just paperwork. The strips reveal a safe adhesive strip that you don't have to lick; save your tongue for more important jobs, like getting to the center of that pop!

First off, I bought four and only one got here when it was suppose to. I don't normally say things about shipping because its not the products fault, however, I felt with one being 2 weeks late and two getting lost for over a month, it was worth mentioning. In the end they all arrived. Ok so, these are a great size and well padded. They fit so many things and are versatile. The one draw back is that the adhesive doesn't look like it will stay held during the painstaking postal journey. I will definitely be reinforcing it with packing tape.

Normally one side would be an inch or so longer than the other side. On this product the side are equal length and the sticky side is about 1/4 inch. Makes for very messy closures.
