Nothing fancy hear, everyone should have jumper cables in case they leave there lights on and the battery goes dead or if you need to help a friend. It is crazy that some people spend huge dollars for a couple clips and wire, these do the job at a cheap price, 100% recommend.

I've had to use these a couple times and I have some valuable insight. First they are not that long. I have had to move and then remove my car a couple times to help people. Second they are lightweight. The cable is not very thick and they don't seem to transfer electrons very well. In my experience linking two cars results in little to no start delay in the disabled vehicles but here it seems like I've had to wait awhile each time, as if the other cars aren't getting enough juice. Finally, and this may be an overriding factor for the second point above, the metal on the clamps that actually contact the anode and cathode of the battery are very small. It has been difficult to get a good clamp on both a Ford and a Toyota from my Chevy. My dad's heavy duty pair had like half an inch of metal and opened generously with no issue. I feel like these were tested with smart cars or something lol. Irl they work but there are better performing cables for sure. ... show more

    • Hint - buy this for heavy gauge cable projects
As the title states, I didn't need this for a jumper cable, but I did need this gauge protected cable for another project and it worked perfectly.....so think outside the box! (I cut off the supplied gator ends, hard wired this to my battery, added quick connectors to the opposite end which then mate to the quick connectors on my air compressor for off road use - I leave the wire coiled up and zip tied on top of my battery under the hood and pull out 16' of cable which reaches all the way to the rear of the vehicle. You can put DC quick connects on various tools as needed and use one cord - works so nice!) ... show more
