The overall quality of the cable itself is 5 stars. The thick cable is rubber and the ends seem like they are nicely sealed. The pictures are very accurate in my opinion. I docked it a star because the package it shipped in doesn't say anything about what you are getting, which is 8K 48 bps. "Hi-speed 8K HDMI Cable" just doesn't tell you much and in fact, it should say "Ultra High Speed." Is this HDMI cable really Ultra High Speed? I can't measure the speed, I don't know. The cable itself tells you even less. The rubber end is stamped "Amazon Basics HDMI." If you look at this cable installed in your system years later you will have no idea what it is and what speeds it supports.. By contrast the more expensive Anker HDMI cable has stamped on the cable end "HDMI Ultra High Speed." $18 for the Anker vs $10 for the Amazon Basics. For me if replacing just a single cable then get the Anker. If replacing all cables at the same time then save some money and get the Amazon Basics. It's your money, you can decide for yourself if the extra eight bucks for the Anker is worth it ... show more

This cable corrected a fractional second sound drop on my UHD TV, due to using old HD cables. Sound and picture with the Amazon Basics cable is excellent. Regarding some reviews suggesting that the Amazon Basics cable are not UHD, the attached image shows the HDMI.org hologram and QR code label on the packaging. When the QR code is scanned, it reports on the captured image that the cable is: --an Amazon Basics cable, 6ft in length. --complies with the latest HDMI UHD spec....HDMI-2.1b A minor issue is that the spec actually requires labeling on the cable jacket, which I have not found. Specifically the spec states: "In order for cables to be marketed and sold as compliant to the HDMI 2.1b Specification and use the official Ultra High Speed HDMI Cable designation they must past all certification tests and, in addition, affix the Ultra High Speed HDMI Certification Label on their packaging. The label has the Ultra High Speed HDMI Cable name and logo on it. The cables are also required to have the cable name printed on the cable jacket itself." This is an excellent value HDMI cable, and I would buy it again. ... show more
