This idea is great for magnifying detailed work of sorts, and the price, around $15, was decent. However, for me, the weight of the unit was too much on the bridge of my nose. Several magnifying choices are included and are stored in a very nice case of their own. Thereโs an option to use a built in light, except the weight of 3 batteries at the forehead piece was especially too much weight for me. Perhaps for most itโs not a problem. The plastic of the glasses doesnโt seem that durable, so Iโd be gentle in handling them. Since I cannot use them, I have no other experience to share.

Literally the only complaint I have is that the nose piece could be a tiny bit shorter so the lens would rest just a bit lower. Otherwise they work perfectly and a great value at the price.

I used this when I paint miniature figures. I use it for about 6-10 hours a week. I purchased it in December, and one of the two LED lights is already out, and it no longer produces enough light for me to work. I've bought the identical item from multiple vendors (they all have exactly identical parts and form factor but have different sellers) but this one from Amazon Basics has lasted less time than any of them. During the time it works, it is very useful and lightweight, and the combination of magnification plus LED lighting is very convenient. I would recommend using the included headband to reduce pressure on the nose, and the other common failure mode is the default "eyeglass style ear mounts" will break the point of insertion to the main unit. Using the headband also avoids this. On most units the LED will start to flicker after about 8-12 months of use, but I have used this for less than 3 months and one LED has already gone out. For the price, I'm usually satisfied with approximately a year of use, but having it fail in 3 months is not worth it.

Overall a good product. Nose bridge causes a pressure point that makes in uncomfortable to ware for long periods. Eyeglass is good quality and has a nice holder to keep them in.

I am very pleased with the magnifying glass. It is a bit heavy for prolonged use but, given that it is a glass lens and takes 3 AAA batteries, not surprising. Which brings me to the one problem: In the product description where it says "batteries required?" and answers "no", this is incorrect. I suppose if you didn't care if the LED's work batteries aren't required, but..... When I read the product description I assumed either batteries were included or were not replaceable. WRONG. And, the link to "Report incorrect product information" did not work. The little tabs on the handle that need to be depressed to remove one lens and replace it with the other are a bit difficult as they need to be firmly, simultaneously and fully depressed for removal and there is very little room for a finger (I have small hands) and I ended up chipping a nail as the very tip of my fingers was all that would work for this task. This would be a very difficult operation for anyone with arthritis in their hands. The LED feature is very nice to have if needed. All in all I'm pleased with this purchase.
