I wasn't expecting to love these Amazon Basics Folding Stools as much as I do but they have quickly become one of the most useful pieces of furniture in my home and work setup. The design is simple and clean with a padded faux leather seat and backrest that are both easy to wipe down and surprisingly comfortable. The padding is not overly plush but its just right for one to two hours of use which is perfect for holiday gatherings quick meals at the kitchen island, tradeshow booths, or even podcast recording sessions. For longer stretches I would probably add a small cushion but for everyday use they are fantastic as is. What really impressed me is the build quality. These stools feel solid much sturdier and beefier than the average metal folding chair yet still light enough to carry around without hassle. The 300 lb weight capacity is not just a number the frame feels genuinely strong and stable. (I haven't had any guests actually test the 300 lb claimed support weight yet.) The slight backward tilt of the backrest adds just enough support to make sitting feel natural instead of rigid. One standout feature is the fold away footrest. It flips out easily makes a huge difference in comfort especially at the 24 inch seat height and folds back seamlessly when storing. Speaking of storage these things fold flat. I can slide them into a pantry or closet with no trouble at all. I got the black finish and they blend right in with my kitchen decor when they are out and disappear when I'm done with them. I also use these stools for on location podcast setups and they have held up surprisingly well to constant travel. They have survived multiple trips being packed unpacked and shuffled around without showing any signs of wear beyond the plastic swivel feet which seem like they could get brittle over time. I will keep an eye on those but so far no issues. Bought them on a Prime Day sale and honestly feel like I got a great value. They are the perfect height for raised counters kitchen islands bars or even musicians who need a reliable seat in a home studio. Easy to store easy to transport and strong enough to trust with guests. Overall I give these stools a solid five stars. Practical sturdy comfortable and incredibly convenient. These are worth the price. They are sturdy and they collapse flat so they can be stored easily. I bought them for someone over 250 lbs and they hold well. The foot rest is at just the right height.
