These are quite inexpensive, that drew my eye. Yet they really do have the soak proof coating that it says. They serve the persose very well. And they're attractive. They are thinner than a top brand but I just use two to serve the food. Then I collect the bottom plate which only served for studiness to place back in the stack & reuse. I bought these because they were a tad cheaper than my local retailer. I read many reviews and most of them just made me laugh when it came to reading comments on the sturdiness. WHAT ARE YOU PEOPLE TRYING TO PILE ON THESE THINGS?! With normal servings of food they will do just fine. You can cut on them with a knife and food will not soak through the bottom. Unless, for example you have salad dressing, gravy or something of that nature and you pile it on like your trying to fill a lake and then proceed to let it sit for the next half hour..... Theeeeen, you might see an issue with soaking through. ... show more

The size and amount are very good. If I had one complaint .....they could be a little sturdier. I sliced meat on them and the plate didn't tear so that was a big plus. Great for sandwiches, snacks etc. Just hold it with your hand in the underside middle for heavier foods and it will work fine.
