This double set was nice to keep a little kid who is going art-wild recently stocked with colors to create with; and hold up to the use. The crayons are fairly sturdy, not easily broken during use, and hold up to the occasional fevered scribbling. Pigment wise these rate just below the Crayola in my opinion. The pigment is better than cheap sets and goes on smooth with good tinting, but there is just a bit more vibrance in other brands. But the price is reasonable for online ordering at this quality and number. I'd almost say the box graphics easily make up for any difference for my little one - she squealed when she saw all the bugs.

These Amazon Basics Crayons are good crayons - they lay down a good amount of pigment either on paper or my walls (ughhhhh) without having to apply too much pressure and they have that waxy crayon smell that makes me nostalgic for my own childhood. You get 2 boxes of 64 crayons each, and each box has a plastic sharpener loose in the bottom of the box. Rather than standing upright in the box, these come stacked flat in plastic trays on top of each other - so, you have to pull the little plastic trays out of the box to get to all the crayons, which I don't like. Also, none of the colors have names - as a kid, I would remember the names of the colors I was using and go back to them, but with these it's very hard to tell the different shades of the same colors apart if you want to go back and use the same color you were using. The plastic sharpener is safe for little fingers, which means it's also not very effective - it mostly just results in chunks of crayon shavings getting all over my tables and floors without the crayons actually ending up much sharper than they were. I'd only buy these again for little kiddos who are going to destroy their crayons anyways.

So...no names for the colors? Granted my daughter can't read yet but it's pretty fun to read off colors and this would have been a good way to do it. I just found it a little odd is all. But maybe that's a brand thing I'm used to. Either way, this is a good set of crayons. The pigment is good, though not the best. But my daughter is still so young to really care about that. Haven't experienced much breakage yet, so they seem solid so far. I like that you get two sets automatically vs the one. It's way too easy to lose crayons, so I'm happy to have a backup. Pretty good quality set compared to the competitor I shall not name.

This set has one of the best color palettes I've seen! It includes a sharpener which is a nice touch. I found them to feel a bit waxy and not as sharp once on the page, but I still think they are a good option with a huge array of colors. The set includes 2 boxes, which makes it a better value. When compared to the Crayola brand sets though, these are still higher-priced. All in all, they are a good choice and I recommend them! Even for adults!

I got these for my daughter to try. She uses crayons, markers, paints, pencils, etc. almost daily. She wasn't very impressed with these crayons. Her complaint was the colors were too similar on paper. For example, there may be three shades of blue crayons, but they looked almost identical on paper. However, they do color well and they aren't too messy. Now, I will chime in as a parent with the money to buy the crayons. If you haven't priced the well-known name brand 64 count crayon box, you're in for a shock....$10 for 1 box or $15 for 2. These crayons are $5 for 2 boxes. You do the math... So, my daughter and I think these are ideal for younger kids or if your kids don't care about the color variations. She wants to give 2 stars and I'm okay with 5 stars for the price, so we'll settle on 4 stars, out the door!

These are good, standard crayons. 64 colors, seems like the normal mix. They're great for kids or at home, or classrooms, seem to work as well as any other brand.
