I needed a white, towel-type bath mat I could hang over the side of the tub when not in use. Something not too big for the guest bathroom. This basic mat is a nice cotton, looks well made, is a good size, not tiny but not enormous. And the price could not be better. The white is nice and clean. The last picture shows a Macy’s Hotel brand washcloth, just for color contrast. I’ve only washed it once, so I don’t know if it will hold up over time, but it looks solid. I’m very happy with it.

Like most AmazonBasics products, this towel-like banded bath mat is a basic quality product that... basically does the job it should. And that's what I like about the AmazonBasics line: I can get decent quality products at a good price, when it's not an item I would want to invest more in and don't require too much of. This bath mat is exactly what I look in for my bathroom (100% cotton, towel-like); the quality is somewhat similar to `hotel` lines of 100% cotton mats, but the price is really good. This mat is not for people to prefer microfiber bath mats with non-slip rubber lining on the back. The terrycloth is not as soft and plush as towels, it's not very thick (but it has a nice weight) and has some roughness (which for bath mats is good in my opinion). It provides cushion and warmth to bare feet. The material lost shape and shrunk around the banded part from the first wash, but it doesn't look that bad. I think that this is mostly my fault as I used the hot cycle (as I always do with my towels), but I prefer to wash it thoroughly even if it shrunks a little. It's a little trickier to dry out (especially when multiple people shower consecutively), but I just let it air dry between showers and I usually don't make too much of a splash. It has some absorbency, but I wouldn't recommend this mat for people with very wet bathroom conditions. I just love the convenience of being able to just throw this in the washer with my towels and wash it quite often; I sometimes end up washing it 1-2 times per week, depending on other laundry loads. I haven't noticed any major lint from it, but it start pilling a little after many washes. It looks... classic; not a stylish item, but something that looks nice in the bathroom, near the tub or the vanity. I choose the grey, as it matched the `concrete` aesthetics I am going with my bathroom. The floors in my bathroom are not that slippery, I never have issues/accidents with this towel bath mat, but it moves around quite easily on the floor.

On the plus side, this was exactly what I was expecting: A simple, white, cloth bath mat. The minus: After only four months it has already begun to fall apart, with long strings detaching from the hem. I'll be surprised if it makes it a full year without completely unraveling.

I purchased these when they were on overstock price. Wish I had bought a few more then, but they are still very reasonably priced I will certainly purchase again. I bought the light grey color and they blend perfectly in with both my bathroom colors. They are nice and thick too without the looped fabric of some. I am not a fan of those. These are like a towel. They are just what I was looking for. They are really absorbent and easy to wash and dry.

Tired of our old bathmat that wasn’t holding up well to washing, I was searching for something better. I couldn’t find any other bath mats I liked so I thought back to what we did growing up. We had bath mat towels. When we went to shower we would step out on it, then hung it over the side of the bathtub to dry. We washed them in the washing machine weekly. I thought this might be the solution I had been searching for so I searched on Amazon for bath mat towels and found these on sale so I thought I’d give them a try. I ordered two and let me just say, I wish I had ordered 10!!! They are phenomenal quality, so soft to step out of the shower on. I am so pleased that they wash extremely well because this is a much more sanitary option than a regular bath mat. I will be buying more and have already recommended them to family and friends!
