I bought these for my kids to use as they start learning to use their own real tools. These are great for that purpose, and were a good value for the price. The stubby length makes the tools manageable for them, they are more usable than some metal tools intended only for children, and they like having real usable tools of their own. Don't expect high quality steel. Indeed, I already see wear on the philips screwdriver tip after pretty limited use on real screws. The hammer does not transfer force to nails well and I have to hit much harder than I would expect to, even knowing it is a stubby size. This can be a bit of a challenge for my kids even putting in something pretty easy to hammer like a tight drywall anchor. One smack from my regular hammer fixes the problem. I would have no chance to possibly drive a big nail through a 2x4 with this even if i wanted to. Still, it is pretty effective for small guage nails, brads, and light use. Overall this is a good value for a learner set, with the understanding that it will not last for a long time, will be outgrown with experience as the tools are actually more difficult to use than higher quality tools, and is not up for more than light duty or craft-level work. If this is what you need, this set will work fine for you. ... show more
