These work almost too well, honestly. I wanted to replace our downstairs curtains and thought going with longer blackout ones might help with both winter and summer insulation. They definitely do. Maybe even more than I expected. The room gets noticeably darker and stays cooler during the day and warmer at night, which is exactly what I was hoping for. What surprised me most is how thick and high quality they feel. At this price point, I fully expected something thinner and kind of flimsy, but these are not that. The fabric feels substantial, the stitching looks clean, and they hang nicely without looking cheap. They also block light extremely well. Once they’re closed, the room is dark, which has been great for watching movies and just keeping things comfortable. For the price, I’m genuinely impressed. Amazon Basics really delivered here with both quality and value. If you’re looking for blackout curtains that actually do what they claim without spending a lot, these are a solid choice.

The manufacturer quality seems fairly good. It has a plastic feel and smell straight out of the package so I left it in my sunroom to air out for a couple of weeks before installing. The color matches the online picture and they are super easy to install on a rod. They are quite thick and heavy though, which helps the light blocking but I wouldn't of it these on a flimsy curtain rod. They probably weigh about 12 lbs, which is significantly heavier than the other curtains I have recently purchased.

These curtains are thick and of high quality. The block out sunlight very well. I had to pin the middle so it would stay together, but that's just my personal preference. I wanted no light leakage whatsoever. Of course, be sure to install your curtain rod high enough so the holes are above the window; otherwise, much light will come through because the curtains have grommets instead of being closed off. I wouldn't necessarily call these soft, as they are so thick that they are pretty stiff, but I don't really mind that. The beige color was pretty, but somewhat lighter than I was expecting—more of an off-white. I am still very happy with these overall and would purchase more for other rooms in my home.

They block out a significant amount of light and help make the room darker, which is great for sleeping and temperature control. The material feels thick and durable, and they hang nicely without looking cheap. Installation was easy, and they should hold up well over time.
