These patched work pretty well for the most part and seem to help some with muscle pain. They are cheap and work for about 12 hours or so. The only issue is if you sweat around the area the patch may start to move around and lose some of it's adhesion.

Aside from the smell these are great. Think of the smell of the floor of a frat house the day after a keg party. Can't remember it? Crack open one of these and apply it. If you're old now (and chances are if you are using these patches you might be), it will be a trip down memory lane back to the days when your body didn't hurt so much.     • Great for Pain Relief
I have been impressed with the pain relief from this brand. I typically use prescription strength 5% and honestly can not tell the difference other than the duration and minus the mess which is a huge plus. My only two gripes, are that the adhesive isn't the best as I have experimented to ensure that it was something I did incorrectly. I havent figured it out as of yet...the edges continue to roll and do not adhere for more than 5-6 hours. Whereas my prescription lidocaine patch will not move.. I can leave it in for 24 hours. Additionally, the price hike. In the grand scheme they are extremely affordable but I was surprised to see the price difference. I do recommend these patches and will purchase in the future as needed. ... show more

    • Comparison and rating -- Amazon Basic, Welmate, and Re-Lieved, 4% lidocaine patches.
Purchased the indicated 3 brands over the last week or so, and compared them side-by-side. Amazon Basic is cheaper, but does not stick well and does not work as well as Welmate. Welmate is same price and sticks better than Amazon Basic. Both Welmate and Amazon Basic will curl if under tight clothing (Amazon Basic is worse). Re-Lieved does the best job, and stays where you put it, but they are 2x the cost of Welmate. Amazon Basic – 3 stars, Welmate 4 stars, Re-Lieved is 5 stars. Welmate is the most cost-effective, Re-Lieved is the best, but more expensive. ... show more

These patches are a great value for the price. 15 in the box for a little over $18 and they are very effective. So why am I complaining? They are practically impossible to apply by yourself. The adhesive is very sticky, and peeling off the protective sheets is an adventure! There are other patches available with a much more civilized approach, but they are much more expensive. 🤷🏻♂️ I'll stick with the price, I'm getting used to them! 😶 ... show more
