My spouse insisted on the kinda TP that makes you feel like you're wiping with an angel's wing, dove feathers, or a unicorn mane woven into heavenly blankets. But when you're trying to clean the tarmac after curry, a green smoothie, and PTSD induced emotional turmoil, that stuff is like using peanut butter to get peanut butter out of the carpet. Somehow, there's more than when you started and you're just smearing it around at some point. No one should spend 10 minutes wiping while wondering if they finally found the gift that keeps on giving. At the same time, I don't want to take a sand blaster to my backdoor. This TP is really stable, assertive, forthright, competent, ethical for the environment, and never gives up. All the stuff I hope my daughter can engender in her life pursuits. It's not too harsh while also being sturdy enough to get all the chocolate cake outta the pan if you know what I mean. It's also way more absorbant than angel wings, dove feathers , or unicorn mane blankets. Because it gets the job done well, we actually use way less of it! My spouse, who has bought TP made with the finest silk in the land, strongly prefers this now! The best TP one can buy and made from bamboo which is renewable in a short amount of time. I won't say its the softest, as its not, idk how other reviewers can say it is. But compared to Charmin ultra strong? Id say its comparable in softness. Not charmin ultra soft though. But its quite durable as charmin ultra soft breaks on me a lot of the time as I'm wiping whereas ultra strong doesn't often. This is probably even more durable than ultra strong id say and I'm using both. I even bought Amazon's ultra soft version during the prime day deal too and its not nearly as good as this stuff. This stuff doesn't leave a lot of crumbs from wiping hard like ultra soft can at times. Ultra strong charmin still does sometimes too. Just not nearly as much. My main complaint with this TP is its expensive. But looking at charmin mega 24 rolls which is basically the same price perhaps I'm just used to buying the 12 rolls at a time (18-20$). So I guess it's not super expensive in comparison just looks so. Overall the stuff works, it doesn't break when using, which is a huge plus for someone like me, cause that happens often with soft toilet paper. It's not PLUSH, like Charmin or Quilted Northern, but I've tried a few different brands of bamboo PAPER TOWELS and they SUCK! So, I really wasn't expecting bamboo to be very good toilet paper, but it is quite decent! It's strong enough and soft enough for me! I've been using the CHEAPEST OF CHEAP toilet paper for 2 weeks before I got this paper. So, that was might be why I'm IMPRESSED, but at the least it's WAY BETTER than the CHEAPEST OF CHEAP toilet paper! ... show more

I love this TP. It's a good balance of strength and absorbency with a soft feel. My only issue is with the packaging. They are individually wrapped rolls, wrapped in actual tree made paper, each with a fully dyed solid color. Very overkill "pretty" and unnecessary for a toilet paper. I am looking for a good bamboo TP really cares about the environment as well as the product. That is still hard to find (unfortunately). ... show more

This toilet paper is actually fantastic and I never write positive reviews. It is very strong but soft. I am so pleased I found a sustainable TP BUT Amazon hello...why would you put a dyed paper wrapping around each roll..that is not eco friendly..if you can't stop sending it wrapped at least switch to a non dyed paper wrapping version but better yet, lose the wrapping altogether on each roll and just put a thin paper band around the assembled rolls or put your packaging geniuses to work to reduce the excess paper. ... show more

Scott 1000 (or Walmart's Great Value version) was what I had been purchasing for years. At 1000 sheets per roll (one ply) the price couldn't be beat. However, you had to use more sheets and they weren't very absorbent. I wanted to try bamboo for sustainability reasons. After a lot of research, I settled on this brand because it had the most sheets per roll (320) and thus cost per roll was less than the other bamboo brands. I can use a lot fewer sheets because they are very absorbent (compared to GV 1000 product). They don't pill. I'm very happy with this product. Not sure why Amazon does it this way, some products they use cost/100-sheets, other times they show cost/roll. You need to read thoroughly when comparing to make sure you're comparing apples with apples. Overall very happy with product. ... show more

I switched to bamboo to save some trees. Yes, it's not the same as Charmin, but I'm a tree hugger at heart, and was willing to pay twice as much for a little less plush for my tush, to save some birdy/squirrel homes. BUT EACH ROLL COMES WRAPPED IN PAPER! In a paper box with a paper core! Paper=Birdy/squirrel homes! WTF? It's like saying I'm a vegan to help out the ethical treatment of animals, but please add extra cheese and bacon to my salad. Why do they have to be wrapped in paper? If you're worried about advertising, stamp it on there like Charmin. It's got to cost less, and you could pass the savings on to the consumer, who can then afford birdseed for the birds that now have a house, cause i didnt choose to make it into something for wiping my butt. ... show more
