This watch is fantastic! This is my 4th smartwatch. I've had the Samsung, 2 different Fitbits, and the apple watch. I am an iphone user. Nothing can compare to the apple watch paired with the iphone, it's seamless and the display is just beautiful. All that said I hate the way the apple watch looks. It looks like it was designed by girls for girls. Nothing against girls but I want a smartwatch that looks like a watch. I liked the look of the Samsung but just like the apple watch the battery life killed all the positives. This Amazfit T-Rex Ultra is beautiful, a man's watch, and I get 5 days of battery life normally. I know that's not the 20 days advertised but I like the always on display plus I wear it 24 hours a day everyday. The incredible things include nice display and many awesome watch faces. App is also pretty awesome. The workout and sleep feature details are also great, One huge thing is how fast it charges. I can pop it on the charger at 5% and it will be fully charged in 45 min and if needed you can charge it for like 10 min and get another day out of it. Bravo amazfit! Yeah you can't respond to text or answer a call on it which i'll admit are convenient features but you do see text and notifications and it lets you see the incoming call and reject it. To me the trade offs are worth it cause it's beautiful and pretty great all around. If you like your apple watch or your a girl then keep your apple watch because this is not really better...or is it? ... show more

The watch is great as a watch! Once I downloaded a separate app to generate the text messages it has been better. I still cannot get the maps/gps to work well, if at all. Every time I think i have it figured out I leave the app and go back in, nothing I have done stayed. Very frustrating because the GPS/Map feature was a huge selling point for me. It is comfortable and attractive. Really wish a lot of what it offers (as well as the Zepp app) were A LOT more user friendly. Shouldn't have to be a code writer or programmer to operate my own watch. ... show more

I had every single T-Rex version but this one is definitely top notch. New software, improved interface, 20-day battery life on a regular use, steel case are definitely worth the money. I like that you can change the bands on this ultra model so I fitted mine with carbon fiber Luminox band. Totally changes appearance of the watch without adding any weight. I took it on 10 day vacation to Mexico and swimming in the ocean was no problem with this watch. Quite accurate heart rate and step counter as well as O2 levels. Didn't try blood sugar or blood pressure monitor but that's not what I bought it for in the first place. Two small nuisances... On the 1st time getting GPS lock can take some time but it works fine afterwards, second...I still do not understand why the Amazfit didn't implement option to increase font size on the watch on the 4th iteration of Trex. Screen resolution and AMOLED display are certainly excellent and I don't see why they can't or won't do it Bottom line I would recommend this watch to anyone looking for rugged SmartWatch with long battery life, extensive amount of watch faces and customization, external applications and so on. It is not on pair with Garmin watches for professional athletes but for every day use for fraction of the cost definitely highly recommended. ... show more

I have always had a garmin watch , but I thought I would give this a try, I can’t believe the quality of the watch A+, it looks and feels like my $800 garmin watch. The OS seams to be really good. I have only had the watch for a day but so far I’m impressed the app is decent, only thinking I don’t like is the app is called Zepp ! Why would it not be called Amazfit All in all it’s definitely worth the money , Update: I went to the ER for chest pain on 2/15, and I looked at my watch and the heart rate was pretty much spot on with all the stuff the hospital had me hooked up to ... show more

I had this watch for a month but the things it didn’t do or did differently than my Apple Watch was more than I could overcome. I really wanted to love this watch. It was built like a tank, looked awesome, and had a great app. The things I didn’t like were lack of being able to respond to text and calls via the watch. Heart rate monitor seemed to be off after upgrade. Not compatible with treadmill connectivity. Battery life was incredible, band options were limited. I have returned it and will stick with my Apple Watch for now. I miss it already. ... show more

I bought the T-Rex Ultra after the new Balance was super-disappointing. I wanted a watch that a) works and b) can go from 50-degree cold swim to 105-degree hot tub or into a sauna. T-Rex 2 and Ultra claim they can officially do so. A month in and the T-Rex Ultra has me very happy. A few great surprises: A week after I bought it, they added indoor rock climing function. It's usable and I'm looking forward to it continuing to get better. Also fun, it has water temperature reading available for swimming once you figure out how to set up the screens. My only question on the watch is whether or not the band will hold up to the abuse I'm heaping on the watch. For the price I kind of wish they'd include a spare band just for peace of mind. I'll update when/if it fails. For now, five stars! ... show more
