I LOVE tech products without subscription fees. This approach put Amazfit on the map for me and I now have automatic respect for the company. I hope they retain this model. I don't begrudge them for trying to advertising their plans on the app because the basic functionality is solid. The sleep duration is not 100% accurate unless you are mindful to check and make corrections to the times. The heart rate has matched machines at my doctor's office. I'm not a power user of this and don't use most of the functionality of the app. For my intended purposes of generating historical data and tracking long term trends it is an excellent value. I wear it on my bicep and it works great. I love this because I can wear real watches! One day, I thought I finally lost this thing when I realized it went through the washer AND dryer. It has since survived that for about two months now, receiving firmware updates and working reliably. Bluetooth connection has been solid.

Game changer for wearables
After 6 months of daily use, I can confidently say the Amazfit Helio Strap has been one of the most impactful fitness purchases I’ve made. I originally picked it up looking for a comfortable, low-profile way to track recovery and activity, and it has exceeded expectations. The strap is incredibly lightweight and comfortable — I often forget I’m even wearing it. Sleep tracking has been especially helpful, giving me actionable insights into recovery, stress levels, and readiness to train. Over time, I started adjusting workout intensity and rest days based on the recovery metrics, which helped me stay consistent without burning out. The biggest result: I’ve lost 15 lbs over the past 6 months. While no device does the work for you, the Helio Strap made it much easier to stay accountable. The activity tracking and recovery scores helped me balance workouts, improve sleep habits, and maintain momentum even during busy weeks. The battery life is excellent and the companion app presents data clearly without overwhelming you. Ten star greatness
I purchased this as a sleep tracker only (when my fit-t died after less than a year and the company got acquired by the data-mining king). Then I realized I could use this instead of the Pol-r chest heart rate strap I was planning to get for my rowing machine, and that arm/wrist placement is way more convenient. Then I realized the app keeps improving and tracks a bunch of stuff including my workouts. I compared it to my friend's $pple device after a long hike and the stats were almost identical. Even food logging is so simple, you can speak your foods and it calculates calories and protein content fairly quickly and accurately, plus you can edit entries. Then I got into an argument with my sister and the thing started vibrating violently on my wrist (I didn’t even know it could vibrate) and I realized it was warning me my stress level was too high! So this thing is ending up to be FANTASTIC and way more useful than I thought. The only negative so far is that the strap it comes with is too large for me (I have tiny wrists and arms and could use it as a bicep band except it is non-stretchy so uncomfortable there), BUT it uses regular style watch bands (22mm) so that is another plus! Get whatever band you want. I love that this device is comfortable, lightweight, has good battery life and allows me to wear a regular watch (you know, the kind with an always on display that doesn't need nightly charging). With the added security of not tracking and selling data without my permission, no subscription and an affordable price i think this is a NEAR PERFECT fitness and bio tracker. (Please, Amazfit, don't let a bigger company buy or influence you and ruin this good thing you have going).

Good value and useful features.
Update: a few months in and I think I've figured out the biggest flaw - it's the strap! Namely, if you have a hard work out, it will be drenched. And if you work out late at night like I do, there is no way I'm wearing it to bed in that condition. We need a latex strap that doesn't absorb sweat to that we can quickly rinse and dry the strap after use. The third party ones I've seen don't conceal the unit the way the OEM strap does which is a miss for me. Other than that, I had a minor blip where my peloton bike and app weren't picking up heart rate data. I uninstalled and reinstalled the unit and everything is back in order. Original: I'm two weeks in to my ownership of this and am satisfied. Initially I didn't love the fit - the sensor is bigger than I expected - but I've adjusted to it. In daily life (even while sleeping) it's not too obtrusive though at work I sometimes find it a tad bulky when typing etc. Function wise, I've been pleased. It transmits heartrate to my peloton bike and the app. It measures sleep which is providing some useful insight. Things like resting heart rate and body temp aren't data points I tend to need but it's cool seeing the data. Ultimately I wanted a no-screen health tracking device that was reasonably priced, has a long lasting battery, and doesn't require monthly fees. This fits the bill for that. I also like how it can track a wide array of workouts, not just running, cycling, etc. I look forward to the release of more third party straps. I think that will also help with overall comfort.

It comes with a free app call Zepp to show me daily sleep and heart rate tracker. They detected automatically when I fall asleep and when I wake up, what's my heart rate at all time. The tracker is also waterproof, I use it to swim I don't feel safe to take it to sauna or hot tub though. The band that comes with aren't waterproof, it takes awhile to dry. But can find replacement on Amazon. Get it! You can up

A Functional Minimalist Life Style Tracker At A Price That Is Hard To beat
I purchased this fitness tracker because I wanted something non-bulky/intrusive that could track sleep and fitness. I was not looking for a smart watch but a dedicated fitness tracker. Some may not like the lack of screen but this was a selling point for what I wanted. But I will say the actual device does look a bit cheap when using other compatible wristbands that show the device face unlike with the complimentary band. Additional bands were easy to find and switch out. I bought new bands as I wanted some color and something a bit more sweat proof to avoid smells, but i did like the band that came with the device. The device while a little bit cheap looking seems to be pretty durable. As for functionality I have no complaints. The battery lasts long enough to wear I forgot that I forgot that it needs to be charges, waterproof for going to the beach and showering care free, and tracks my runs effectively. The app/software could definitely be better as in more intuitive user face, more accurate scores, and an expanded workout selection (pickleball). When I was in the market for a new fitness tracker I bought this pretty early after it released so it seems they are still making software updates and improving things. At this price point I am not sure you can do much better and has put this brand on my radar for future purchases. Overall, I would recommend this fitness tracker for those who want something functional and non-flashy to better their lifestyle and fitness routines.

Excellent with some comments
Really very good sleep tracking beats garmin every time cause i use both, and very good exercise tracking and overall health monitoring and very accurate readings cause i use multi device and i can compare data on the spot. Needs to work on costumer service and plz enhance the vibration cheap cheap motor used Also strap sucks compare with whoop its too hard couldn't use for a few days then i went 3rd party one And for some reason only one green light blinks not both of them

A good alternative to google trying to track your heartbeat
I switched from FitBit when they announced they were going to start collecting and selling your health data. Amazfit doesn't do this (A+) and the tracker does everything as advertised with a strong multi-day battery life. One star is taken off as the tracker is a bit less responsive than I'd like, and the app slightly less effective than I'd like, specifically in coordinating what notifications I receive on the watchface and how. If you're looking to get away from FitBit this is certainly a good choice.
