Bought this for my wife to replace her FitBit Atlas as she requires watch functions as well. Set up was a breeze after downloading the app. The one complaint is that the QR code on the manual wasn't for the app itself, but for something else which was a bit confusing.     • Watch works well for the value, the app isn't great
When I bought this watch I was warned that the setup was a little complicated. I didn't feel like it was really any more difficult than setting up my last 2 Fitbits but I'm fairly tech savvy so maybe it's different for others. However, when I bought my watch in July 2020 the associated app was also called Amazfit and worked well. A few months in and the app was bought by Zepp and at that point I stopped being able to receive text & call notifications and my watch started having issues syncing with the app. Those kinks seem to be worked out but it took a while and I had to un-pair and re-pair my watch with the app to get everything to start working again. I will warn that it does not track my steps or my sleep as accurately as my Fitbit did (which is my reason for 4 stars) but the battery life is phenomenal and if you don't want to pay an arm and a leg for a smart watch then I recommend it. ... show more

I tried a Fitbit Luxe but the was small and impossible to use. I tried an itouch but it was heavy and would turn off and on by itself even tho it was fully charged. The amazfit is awesome. I can track my steps which is most important to me. You can have the weather posted on the screen, you can read messages and see who called. You can even answer or decline a call. Love this watch! Does everything it says. Easy setup, light weight, monitors things that are important to me. My favorite feature is the ability to read the dial when I'm outside. For me it's much better than the Fitbit I was wearing……it’s now the end of July and the watch quit working. If you buy this watch make sure to buy service policy because after 30 days you are out of luck. ... show more

App is awesome and very detailed! The battery life is good and the screen resolution is pretty good. However, we had alot of trouble pairing it to the phone initially and it sometimes just looses connection. Probably better to just pay a couple extra bucks for the pro edition.     • Pretty good smartwatch for my first.
Battery life is really good. Step counter and sleep tracking seem pretty good only I never have rem sleep and idk if that is accurate or if it just doesn't measure it. Im unsure about what it is supposed to do and what has to be entered in manually though. I have never been able to get it to measure my stress or blood oxygen or even show it on the watch. It details how to wear the watch to get those readings but it never does show in the app or even show it on the watch. If I wanted to enter manually I would just keep a journal! Otherwise, I'm happy with it only wish I would've better researched and went with one that did a little more. It does my call, text and Snapchat notifications and even says full text on my watch but I knew I wouldn't be able to respond on it and I'm ok with that. I'm just unsure how close my phone has to be to send the notifications cause sometes I don't get them when I think I should've... Overall I'm happy with its style, fit and most of its function. ... show more
