    • I use it to pump gas from 5 gallon jerry cans
I use this to move gas from 5-gallon jerry cans to my gas tank. I buy gas for a discount and they let me buy 35 gallons for that discount so whatever doesn't fit in my two cars gets put in jerry cans. For this, it is very useful and works properly. If you say need to pump fuel out of a car's tank to get bad gas out or something this isn't for you. It also seems to drink batteries and could stand to have the ability to plug it in. I noticed I had low pumping pressure when attempting to pump with D batteries that I guess were low on charge and that was fairly frustrating frankly. I guess if you get this just set your expectations that it is not a do-it-all all pump and it's primarily from extracting fuel from a can and putting it in something. ... show more

    • cannot use to siphon tank into container
The pump on the end is too big to fit in a unleaded gas tank fill tube. Wanted to use this to siphon old gas out of motorcycle tanks. The pump is at the end of the suck tube and will not fit through tank fill hole. I can use a funnel and poor in the other direction. This was to keep from that nasty first taste of bad fuel using a siphon hose. ... show more

I am thankful for whoever designed this product, I will never have to lift a 5 gallon (or any size) gas can again to have to tip it and pour gas through a funnel into any of my yard implements. It makes filling my mower or whatever extremely easy now. Put the pump end in the gas can and the nozzle end in the gas tank and hit the on switch, what could be easier, this model even has an automatic shut off when the tank is full.     • Not good for what I wanted
My husband is constantly tinkering with things that have engines. He will fill the tank of something only to decide that engine needs to go into another project...that gas tank is too small or doesn't mount in the right place etc. I got this so he could siphon extra fuel from tanks. It won't work because it's too big. No big deal! He started using it on the 5 gallon tanks in his shop to make fueling up a breeze. Nope. What a mess. It's not a strong pump and it started leaking fuel after the second use. ... show more

    • good fuel pump
got this for my gas generator so i can transfer in and out of the it's gas tank. i like that it has several connectors so it can fit directly on your gas can. it takes D batteries or you can use AA batteries with the included adapters, this is pretty handy. i tested this out and it works great. this pump is a little different than my pumps from the past in that it has a hose on both ends of the pump. my old one's had a rigid plastic pole on one end that went into the gas can. it's not a problem though, it still works just great. ... show more
