Hello, I used this product for extra safety to wrap wood stove pipe joints. That's in addition to the normal bands used for you smoke stack sections. I watched a pro on you-tube and found my 2 inch tape with this seller. It was cost efficient and arrived rather quickly. Beware, go slowly when using for many different uses. Once its taped down it s hard to peel it back. However, thats with most similar HA-VAC heat withstanding tape.     • Great for reptile tanks!

I bought this tape to re-apply an under-the-tank heat pad for my reptiles, as the adhesive on them isn't the strongest. It works great! I do have to get in there sometimes and smooth out the tape because I am paranoid it will fall off and cause problems (burning my carpet or something) but that has not been a problem at all during the month or so I've been using this tape. This did exactly what I needed it to- now I don't need to buy new heat pads and I can just apply the same one multiple times! If you are a reptile owner you know how expensive the heaters are, so this tape has saved me a good amount of time and money. I just recommend that you smooth it out once in a while to make sure there is no peeling, because with my bigger (and heavier) heat mats, I've noticed the tape start to fall off a little which makes me paranoid. It has NOT been a problem for me, just a suggestion to prevent any issues or damage. ... show more

I used this tape to cover holes in engine block before power washing. It worked perfectly for this application. The tape stuck well and did not blow through. The tape thickness and adhesive seemed pretty comparable to more expensive name brands. I was satisfied with this product for this application. The price was low, but despite it being advertised as being heavy duty(3.9 mil it said), it seems thin and easy to tear. It sounded thick enough, but if that is true (3.9) I would likely order something more like 5 mil. I wouldn't purchase it again due to this issue, but it's still an OK value for the price if your needs are for a lighter duty aluminum tape. ... show more

I used this tape for sticking silver vinyl inside bookshelves. The great best thing was no writing on tape had 3m but couldn’t use because big 3m red letters on entire surface. Formed borders wit this. Looked super. Easy to keep from wrinkling.

Was expecting the aluminum tape to have a conductive adhesive backing but it did not. I was able to work around it eventually but it wasn't easy. Next time I won't assume that all sides of metallic tape are conductive
