The "shield" part feels like medium grade plastic, and the 3 rows of aluminum teeth does not make you feel very protected. But it will fit your forearm and if you paint over the corny teeth rows with can of oil based matte black paint, it will make it look more menacing if you are not going for some anime convention look. You can still use your hand with it on, and I guess it will protect you from say, a small knife stab attempt or one time downward strike from a Walmart machete (it will most likely be out of commission after that hit).     • Very thin and flimsy and dirty
Thankfully i don't need this as a shield as shield is made of thin plastic. Also it shipped with a film cover on it that left glue stains onnthe plastic. I got this for cosplay prop photography but its so dirty from the glue used to cover it in plastic film Not worth the price tag at all.
