I’ve been using this for about a month. Only used it a few time with my tripod but very happy with it compared to a plastic one. I like it so far. A nice sturdy material. Won’t have to worry about it breaking. Plus the red, makes it easy to spot if you have to take it off and put it in your camera bag Also note, this is compatible with GoPro if you have the case. I got this to mount my GoPro Hero 5 on the boom of our sailboat. No surprises.. It works great! Update: 10/14/19 I used this a dozen times over the summer sailing season. Our races last about 1 - 1 1/2 hours. We race in all conditions. Multiple evening we encountered wind gust over 25mph. The camera never moved. I recommend the GoPro Thumb Screw Wrench + Bottle Opener or something similar for getting the thumb screw tightened. ... show more

This works perfect on the case that comes with the Gopro Hero 7 Black. I wasn't sure about buying it because of a review that said that "it doesn't hold on tight", so I just want to get that out of the way, IT REALLY DOES HOLD ON TIGHT! in fact, once you tighten it it's not gonna go anywhere. I wish they would offer 2 for a better price, just because I want one to stay on each of my tripods. ... show more

I needed this to use my gopro hero 7 with my 2 tripod. I didn't know if this was going to fit because I'm using an extra battery with my gopro (refuel) but it's great. I attached some pics with both tripod. (small flexible legs tripod and a pro tripod) the only issue I had was if I screw it from one of the side de knob touch the refuel cover and I can't tight it all the way up so I decided to do it from the opposite side and it's great no issues. ... show more

I purchased this to allow me to use my GoPro with my other camera equipment. I have quite a few tripods and other accessories that I couldn’t use with my GoPro, and this adapter works great. I also appreciate the color options, as all of my 1/4-20 based camera accessories are black, being able to quickly distinguish between them is great (for me). This thing does work with the GoPro Hero 8. Works just fine. Easy to figure out and seemed to tighten down pretty well to my DSLR camera with the SmallRig hot shoe mount. Haven't put it to use just yet but will do so and updated if I can remember. Pretty good so far though. Only thing I don't like is the washer on the end. It is free and hangs off of the screw every time you unscrew it. Pretty sure it is going to get lost at some point but I doubt that'll change much anyway. Hope that makes sense. ... show more

I’ve had a tripod mount on the windshield of my 2010 Street glide for about five years now, it was plastic. The other day after a short ride while I was taking off my GoPro it snapped, thank God it didn’t happen while I was riding. This New aluminum mount is so much better, sturdier and it looks great in red. I am also considering some of their other aluminum accessories.
