I absolutely love these shoes! The fit is perfect — they don’t compress my toes at all, yet they still feel secure without that sloppy, oversized feel you often get when sizing up in athletic shoes. The cushioning is incredible; it honestly feels like I’m walking on a cloud. That’s saying a lot considering I have heel spurs, and most shoes leave me in pain. Heavenly shoes. I have sore feet, prior surgeries on them, and my orthopedic doctor suggested these shoes. They are supportive yet coushioned with a roomy toe box. I feel quite stable in them. The price is awesome.

My podiatrist recommended these to help me overcome some foot pain. I'm still dealing with the foot pain, but not the shoes fault, I can tell these are helping me have a more natural stance. I had tried on a different style of Altras, but they were really wide for my slender feet. These fit really well in the heel and mid-foot, yet give my toes room. One feature I love is the heel design make these really easy to slip on and lace. The sole has a nice firm and stable, yet, cushy feel, I don't feel like I'm going slide off an overly cushy sole like on some popular shoes popular now.

I love the wide toe box and the shoes are comfortable to walk and jog in. I would have given the product five stars, but like other customers, the heel is stiff and could possible cause discomfort. Update: I jogged in these for a week and the stiff heel caused Achilles and calf pain and had to stop wearing these. They didn’t work for me but maybe for someone else.

These shoes were made for my feet. I needed a wide toe box but a narrow heel and these fit the bill perfectly. I also like that they are not higher up, but they still provide all the support I need. I did add arch support to mine because my feet are flat-flat-flat, and they were able to fit the extra support without the shoe feeling tight. I originally ordered a size 11 and had to get a 10.5 - so you may want to check how their sizes compare with other sneakers

I purchased these, in part, because of many reviews stating these had the widest toe box among minimalist shoes. I previously had bought a much less expensive barefoot shoes that had a very generous toe box, so I expected these to be at least comparable. They are not. While the ends of the toes have ample room, the width at the ball of the foot is extremely tight. Additionally, the height from the insole to the shoe top is insufficient and tight even with laces excessively loosened. I consider my feet moderately wide, though generally “taller” in the middle than most. Whether I require wide-width shoes typically depends on the brand, though often I don’t. On a positive note, the shoes seem to have a reasonably comfortable insole (ie, not barefoot feel), and they are made in Vietnam, not China, which is a plus in my book.
