I installed this alternator on my 2011 Honda Odyssey after receiving the dreaded "check charge system" notification. This replaced a refurbished alternator I purchased at AutoZone two years ago. I will break down my review into a few categories: 1. Cost: First off, this thing is cheap. $100 for a new alternator cant be beat. Go to any auto store and you will pay $200-400 for a refurbished alternator, or Honda will charge $500+ for an original part. 2. Appearance: The alternator looks solid. It doesn't look cheap and plastic-y. 3. Installation: Fit like a glove. If you've ever installed an alternator into an Odyssey, some 3rd party alternators are a little too thick to fit into the bottom grove (where the bottom bolt goes through). This one had no issue, and didn't require filing. 4. Function: I worried about the noise. My refurbished alternator I purchased two years ago had a loud "Vrrr" noise when the car was idling and the alternator kicked in. Honestly, it was actually distracting when parked in a small garage. This one had no issue. It is quiet and works flawlessly. I have driven the car for ~1000 miles now, and I have experienced no issue so far. We will see how long it lasts, but for the price, I am quite pleased. TLDR: a cheap alternator can be a gamble, but this one was a steal. Get it.

Don't waste your money. I bought this alternator back in November 2025 a week later the battery lite and check charge system signal kept flashing, about January it started acting up again, but we were on a family trip so I thought maybe it was running hot and by then it was too late to return it. Fast forward to last night when it decided it was gonna quit and leave us on the side of the highway stranded with no other issues caused it to fail. I suggest getting an oem replacement or try a different brand. Cheap is not always good.

Its been a couple weeks since i put this product in my car. after 1 1/2 days my car gave the same warning about the alt not charging. I cleared all codes in the car thinking it was probably just a cpu glitch. since the clearing of all codes, there has been no other alt/battery codes pop up. So, I give this product a win.
