soft soft soft. No shrinkage after washing and drying in dryer. Great for men with broad chests and gives a nice clean fit and doesn't scrunch up into armpits which can be unpleasant. These aren't cheap shirts relatively speaking and are almost retail rates but a lot of retail is moving to blends so for a 100% cotton shirt this is great. Fit is spot on and texture feels similar to a super soft tee especially after a wash. If this shirt too pricey then also check out the Anvil 980 and Bella 3001CVC or Bella 3005 (vneck). If you are not too broad in chest then Near Level 3600 isn't bad option but the NL3600 shrink and are very form fitting. Recommend trying in your size and one size up if considering NL3600 for larger men. ... show more

The shirt feels fine. The only problem I had was that it runs larger than the other Alternative t-shirts I have purchased. Luckily it shrunk toba perfect size when I washed it in hot water.

The Alternative Go‑To T‑Shirt (AA1070) is a decent basic tee if you’re looking for something lightweight and simple. The cotton fabric feels soft and breathable, which makes it comfortable for everyday wear or layering under a jacket or hoodie. The shirt is made from lightweight cotton jersey with a classic crew-neck design and a regular fit. However, the material is thinner than I expected. While that makes it comfortable in warm weather, it can feel a little flimsy compared to heavier cotton shirts. Some colors can also be slightly see-through depending on lighting and what you’re wearing underneath. The fit is fairly standard and true to size, but it may shrink a bit after washing, so using cold water and low heat is a good idea to keep the shape. ... show more

I used to love these. Bought many of them and size medium used to fit perfectly. I’m 6 ft, 175lbs, athletic build. Now they are way too tight. The shirt changed. I’ll need to find a new default plain shirt unfortunately. 6 months ago 5 stars.

I bought this shirt because I saw how it fit a celebrity in Men's Health Mag. I have had this shirt for about a year. I have worn it about 3 or 4 times. After a few washes, the collar and hem look like cooked bacon. The collar some how got stretched and looks bad. I take care of my clothes. No pulling the through the hanger, I pull the hanger out of the shirt. I constantly have to adjust the shirt around my collar for the shirt to sit right on my body.
