I did a lot of research in headlamps before I pulled the trigger on the Alpharex lamps. Very impressed. I inspected the lamps when they were delivered. They were constructed well. Lights were sealed in the boxes and in plastic bags with plenty of foam in packaging. Lights fit perfect in my 2016 Ram 1500. I had OE lamps and just to be safe ordered the extra wiring kit, during installation realized I didnt need the wiring kit. Now one downfall was there are no directions for installation however, if you go to the Alpharex website and select the lamps there is an option to pull up directions and a link to a video to install. So directions are available you just have to go get them. If you are mechanically inclined then these will be easy for you to install, if not you may struggle. Despite other reviews where people say its not a plug and play, these lamps are very easy to install and are indeed a plug and play. Aiming the lamps are nessessary for any new lamp installation so make sure you are on a level ground and about 25 feet out from a wall. There is 1 adjustment to raise or lower these lamps. Again very easy to adjust. Make sure you secure all wiring so they don't get caught anywhere. The only thing that I had to customize was the fuse box. The wire for the fuse tap has to come out somewhere so I drilled a small hole and ran the wire out. Just make sure its sealed, dont want any water to get into your fuse box. Fuse tap goes into F66 so make sure you put the 10 amp fuse in the fuse tap. You should have 2 fuses in the fuse tap. Overall, I am very impressed with the light, they look great and operate well. Installation was easy. Great product. Side note: If Alpharex wanted to send me some free stickers, hat or any other cool stuff I would give 6 stars.. lol 😁 ... show more

Make sure tye fuse tap has 2 fuses in it or the drl blinkers and running lights will glitch out. Other than that the lights are decently bright and look amazing

I've had these headlights for a little less than a week now. I will say that the brightness is top quality. If you have a 2016 Ram, I suggest getting the wiring harness that is sold separately for these headlights as I didn't know about them when I ordered these headlights and didn't find out I needed them until after I tried installing them. ... show more

I needed to use alpha obd to make this work because I was going from halogen to LED. Tricky but doable. Look very nice and very good upgrade to stock.

Purchased for a 2018 with quad lamps. This is not a plug and play item due to the Rams CBUS. You will need a security bypass cable, an OBD programmer and a program like AlfOBD to make these work. Tried initially with a straight plug and play and instantly got turn signal out notifications. Purchased the above-mentioned items and changed settings to LED settings and things worked. I understand that some have used resistors with success, I didnt feel like adding additional wiring and connections.
