I didn't have very high expectations considering the price, but I was extremely happily surprised at the quality. The *only* issue is the leather lacing is a bit stiff and hard to tie after adjusting at first. But that's what happens with real leather cord. There's also enough space in the eyelets to add a second thin cord to personalize it a bit without making any permanent changes. The sides are entirely held together by the laces, so size is not limited by any permanent attachment & there's no bunched up fabric under the laces, which is very nice. This is a great vest for the price. You will need to order at least 1 size up. I wear a large (44/46 chest) and I followed the size chart and rounded up and ordered a 2x and it fits great. Just a little big, but that's fine as I wear a hoodie underneath. You can lace it up, but as a fall/cold weather vest, I don't want the gaps needed if I ordered just an XL. The vest does not have any padding or insulation so its great for summer/warmer weather riding, but the fall/cold, you will need to wear something underneath. Plenty of pockets on it too. The inside pockets are nice and big, the side pockets and zippers work great to secure things, the front pockets are the perfect size for a phone, glasses and even a bottle of beer!. The stitching looks good, the material is of good looking quality and looks like it will last. For under $30, you cant go wrong. Give it a try, and if you don't like it, its PRIME, you can send it back. I'm ordering another one size XL to keep for next summer. ... show more

Very nice vest but sizing was cut small. Came very fast and that was great. Return is very easy also. I have already order a larger size . I did return it. Refund was very fast and I reorder and received a larger size, still was to small for wearing on the outside. I would say if your wearing under your jacket go 1 size larger. If your looking to wearing over you jacket to show your patches go 3 to 4 sizes over. ... show more

First off I'm 5'11,175lbs normally wear a medium. I did what the reviews said and ordered a size up. If you're still not sure, use the measurement chart IN THE PHOTOS. Those measurements are accurate. Remember to allow yourself a couple inches at least to layer underneath for cold weather. Next the quality. Please bear in mind that a quality vest can easily run you $100+. So don't buy this expecting some sort of miracle (which I think explains some of the bad reviews). You're buying a $40 dollar vest so be realistic. That being said. I think the quality for what I paid is amazing. Yes the liner is thin. But really who is expecting thinsulate? The leather is stiff which is perfect. I coated it in mink oil and will break it in. Don't expect any real function out of the concealed carry pockets. Buying clothes with "carry pockets" never works out. I would say my expectations were a leather vest, not too thick, fits good, smells like leather, pockets for wallet phone and good stitching on the leather. First I will mention I wasn't expecting this vest to be perfect. My husband has a nice one already with all his military patches on it. But he needed one to put his Eagle Riders patch on. When he goes out on rides with the Eagles will be the only time he will wear it...can we see a theme?? Okay, issues with the vest. Although it seems decently made, the snaps all work and it has a good shape there was white powdery stuff in multiple places stuck to the leather. It easily came off with a damp cloth but was a little concerning. As I said I didn't expect much for what I paid for this vest as the last one I bought him cost more than twice a s much. But there is a flaw in the leather, it is a natural material so can be expected, but it is right in the front off center of the left chest area. That was the only thing that really stands out wrong with the vest. The conceal carry pocket is nice as long as you are not carrying a large handgun. It has a nice easy access inside pocket and out side zip to the pocket. If you are looking for a decent vest at low cost I would still recommend this one. It did come packaged well. ... show more
